Just saw this on DTR, don't know the whole story:



"I have the evil kit and the CFM will work and i was gona putt it on untill last tusday a guy i was pullin with blew up his CFM intake BIG time at only 60psi put a nice dent in the hood also. This is not the 1st i have heard of this either"





Now one answered my questions back when I asked how much boost can it handle I just got flamed by a few people, well here is one more example and I doubt this one was staged like people claimed the other one was. Remember this picture:

i'm glad i went with the ats arc flow..... so, you had asked before what type of boost it handles and nobody answered? there is a guy who is a member of tdr and in his profile he lists, all kinds of goodies (twins, etc. , etc. ) and i noticed that in his first write-up (profile) he said he had a cfm manifold. a little later, his profile stated he was using an ats arc flow. well, after seeing his truck in the last publication of diesel builder; he was pushing 700+ hp. i think, but dont know for sure that he realized that the cfm was junk... . for his application, anyway. i like the fact that it is a composite material and cools down quicker, etc. , but holy smokes, if thats what it does with big hp. i would probably hold off. i'm sure for my application it would be alright, but like i said... ... ... . GOOD GRAVY! :eek:

There you go trying to stir up trouble again. I have the CFM and love it. It made a great improvement in driveability, spool-up and cool down. There are a large amount of very satisfied CFM customers out there. I have never heard of any dissatisfied customers. I haven't seen the DTR post yet.

I jsut got mine but it has seen over 50 psi and it has been fine. I wonder if the manifold in question has or has had ports either preinstalled or installed post install and maybe that weakened it to its breaking point. Or maybe there was a manufactures defect of some kind. It does happen. It still doesn't deter me from taking it off.



If you saw a picture of an exploded cummins, would that turn you off to the engines for good?

Dan Dan Dan, reread my post very carefully. Never mentioned it didn't perform as advertised. You don't want to know who I am in bed with trust me you would get mad at me;). And please stop trying to discredit me and my posts this is just info I saw from another site and thought I would pass it on to everyone here.

How long ago was it? Can you post a link?(you never do... )



Unfortuneatly, my pm is usually full of FASS questions because of the putz (Macdonald) copied my user name and sells/Fixes FASS systems constantly.

yes it was i believe he was running a 150 shot and twins. in the 2 years CFM has been making these units they have had zero warranty claims. they make a great unit and that is NOT normal.

Yep... and if you look at the break it does not look like there was a weak point...
