hey guys i am not sure which ones i want. either the pocket style or the oem style. They both stick out 2 - 2-1/2 inches thats what one of my main concerns is. Which ones do you all think looks better? also where is a place i can get them for under 400 bucks

Thanks

Nick

I had the local truck shop open a box of 03 bushwhackers and hold them up to my truck, the fronts covered the Cummins badge! Not good, the other style (in the book) looked as if you would have to remove the badge to fit them. Not happy either way.

Be care full the bushwacker flares SUCK!!!!!

First they don't fit in the rear to hot on the short bed and do not fit at all on the long bed!! If you guys did not know this the long bed and short bed wheel well openings are different!!! And bushwacker does not even know this... There flares only fit the short bed. .

Now on the other hand just installed a set of warn 4x4 flares and they fit like a glove This was on a long bed... Note that warn does have separate part numbers for the long and short bed rear flares. The front flares are the same part number for all!!!

Ken is right!

The fit on the rear of the Bushwackers does suck! I called them and did not get too far..... gonna call them again. As for the emblem up front, it easily removes and can be re-applied a little higher. I think it will be in the way of just about anyone's flares.

The instructions indicate you should trim the parts to fit. You need to spend some time on this step for them to fit right.

bushwackers fit perfect

I have the bushwacker extend a fender flares and they fit perfect and the install was piece of cake. I moved the cummins badge up about two inches to clear the flares and I think they look awesome. I went with them because I liked how they mounted better than the Xenon and I had a set on another truck and they were great on it, very durable.

I bought mine from www.4wheelparts.com but another place to check is www.desertrat.com

I have pictures on them in my profile, chek them out if you want.

Mine look and fit perfect too. Pics in my gallery as well. :D

Read my last post again, the front fit pretty close, and the rear flares only fit good on the short bed... Now another point about the warren flares, they also seal against the body with 3m tape, which is way better then any other flare think about it with out the 3m tape the flare will chafe the paint on your truck not to keen on that. !!!!

Any flare that involves breaking the paint to put in screws is a waste, especially in salt country. Tape is way better but I'm still leary.

Whats a rusted out 93 toyota 4x4 xtra cab with 245,000 miles worth anyway? Oh yeah, fender flares are included unless they fall off first:(

You could trim all day on the flares I got and they still fit like crap. Evidently some are fitting well and some are not..... seems like one mold ought to do it but... who knows. I'm gonna try another set

A nice point about the bushwackers is that they do not require any drilling at all, they mount completely in existing holes.
