Just put these on yesterday!

114. 00 each

One Stop Undercar

562-944-3012

They carry all kinds of good brake stuff!

I also picked up my 3500 rear wheel cylinders for my 2500 from these guys.

They can order the good Pads too!

(stay away from the Raybestos QS stuff. Warped my old crossdrilled rotors at 50% of life)

Wow nice, cross drilled and sloted for a little over 200 bucks. If they are quality and wont warp could be a good deal.

Warp speed!

In my 180 k miles of brake experience.

It's the pads and the caliper bushing's that are responsible for the rotor warpage.

I have had no warpage when using the right pads and keeping the bushing's lubed.

what are the right pads?

EGR big bucks and no warpage.

there may be others out there?

anyone want to chime in?

You can also warp rotors with hard braking then coming to a stop and holding the brakes in one place. Good example is coming down a steep interstate offramp a little too fast and waiting for a long red light at the bottom with your foot on the brake.

I've heard good reports on these for $370/pr for 2wd, $206 for 4wd from http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brembo/index.jsp

They also have the best price you'll find on high quality Brembo plain rotors- $61/ea for 4wd

I have noticed slotted rotors wear pads faster on other aplications. Has anybody else noticed this, it might be a trade off for less fade.

Yes cross drilled and sloted rotors will wear pads faster. But with the cross drilling and slotting you get gases out of the way and let the pads bite better=increased braking performance.

Brembo is definatly a world class name in high performance brake components. Didn't know they made a Dodge Ram application, undoubtedly a good product, but those rotors of Sanfilipe Bob's are just way too trick looking to ignore!!:)

Got Brakes? EGR!

The pads are supposed to wear, not the rotors; the rotors are expensive, the pads are not.

Anyway, EGR is an excellent solution to a DC problem.

Update

Woah !

I installed the EGR pads & shoes with these rotors. I had the drums turned as well.

The EGR pads took awhile to brake in.

about 150 miles. (this was scary at first )

What a huge improvement!

I bet I have 50% more stopping power.

SFB. I'll bet your 50% increase in braking or the better part of it came from the 3500 wheel cylinders. All my bombs come at individual times as money is avail. or as needed. New front brakes: not much difference. 3500 wheel cylinders: WOW!

actually

I did the 3500 wheel cylinders about 17,000 miles ago.

The upgrade that made the big difference this time (in my opinion) was the 400 bucks worth of pads and shoes from EGR.

The rotors listed above were purchased from a different supplier.

I found the Extreme rotors at One Stop Undercar for about 100 bucks less than the EGR rotors

Hey after spending 400 bucks on pads I didn't have enough money left to buy the EGR rotors.

:--)

She stops on a dime now

P. S.

Hot tip!

The caliper bushing's need to be replaced at ever pad change.

NOTE: I use a wheel cylinder hone to clean the inside of the caliper bushing holes.

Rust & grime builds up inside and can cause the calipers to drag causing heat and warpage of the rotors.
