chime is driving me nuts

Somebody did a writeup not too long ago about removing the chime altogether. Its behind the instrument cluster and a pita to remove so I'm waiting till. I have the dash apart again then gonna take. it out

Well no chiming today! The LAMPOUT light came on and stayed on today, this time set off by the right rear turn signal not working. After driving all day with not chime (or turn signal), I pulled the light apart after I got home and found the contact on that bulb was burnt. So I cleaned up the sockets and installed new bulbs with grease on the contacts. LAMPOUT light is OFF!!

So I guess my truck was just doing what it is supposed to do. I must apologize to my truck for being so angry at her and threatening to do nasty destructive things to her.
