City Slicker or Country boy

I live on 3. 25 acres west of Fort Worth. After living in the city for many years had to get back to country. I drive 40 miles to work and I can tell you that it's worth it. I can go out at night and see the stars and since I live on a hill, I can see 20+ miles. I don't ever want to live in the city again.

After living in San Francisco area until retireing we sold out moved out here,central valley of CA. . on 4 acre walnut farm 2 years ago,got deisel truck 4 months ago, life is good... Chris

I am a little of both city and country, I am living in a surburban home in N. seattle but I also have 160 acres of timber property in w. oregon that we are in the process of building a house and garage. I am tired of the city life, but my type of job (high tech electronic manufacturing) require city home reasonably close.

Eleven miles from the beach and 18 miles from town on a 50X100ft lot in a 930sq ft house with a carport in unincorporated county. Don't care about the malls that are close by but I do like to be close to a Walmart, autoparts, Cummins Southeastern Power, Home Depot, and a decent grocery store. I can store my 5th wheel by the house and my Harley offends no-one. Our neighbors are fairly quiet and we look out for each other's property. We even have possums and coons! We smell horse biscuits in the morning from the stables nearby. But we do have alot of traffic.

P off the porch and gunfire? Heck, we have alot of that around here. It gets worse the closer you get to town!

I'm comfortable in big cities, I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and would have few misgivings about going back. But the quality of my rural life in Kentucky just can't be beat. Everything I prefer to do with my leisure time involves vehicles and/or the outdoors, and that means plenty of elbow room needed...

I can find peace in the mountains of Kentucky with just a short drive, and often do. My dually knows the way into the nether regions of Eastern Kentucky by heart.

The big cities are entertaining, lots to see and do, but they are now terrorist targets and liberal cesspools, so I won't be leaving the mountains anytime soon.

Well I am from Houston(4 million), but I goto school in a small town called Nacogdoches(12,000, counting students). I LOVE the smaller towns, and see myself settling there after school.
