You will not get all the crap off of it.

The front center of the radiator gets a lot of "Silt" build up, and the back side, or fan side around the perimeter gets loaded with oil and dirt. All the radiators that I have cleaned, you start with the back first as the silt on the front has a hard time passing through.

Draining the coolant system and pulling the radiator is not that bad a job. Do it right the first time. Hotsy and a good de-greaser to cut the oil.
 
A friend of mine took is out to clean it also. Here are a couple of pictures of the radiator before he cleaned it.
