Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Clicking in Engine

A little over a year ago two piston burned in my 5. 9. After I got the truck out of the shop everything seemed to be good. Then a couple months later I noticed a clicking from the engine, it sounded like a lifter so I took it to a dealership it Cal. All they said was that vibration damper needed replaced but that wasn't making the click. I replaced the damper with a Fluidamper. The clicking is still there. Does any one have an idea? They said it was comming from the front of the engine. like behind the front gear case. What would make a clicking . HWestfall

I would pull the front cover and check it out before something breaks

I would check the rockers & valve keepers. May be that something is working loose there, since things have been apart not too long ago. You sure dont want to drop a valve into the cylinder!

It must be loud clicking noise!
To be honest i couldn't hear anyhting like that over a 24 valver.
