I bought a clothes bar to hang between the two clothes hooks in my Ram, but the clothes hooks keep popping out of the ceiling. I don't have allot of clothes hung on the bar, either.

Has anyone had a similar problem. And, more importantly, has anyone figured out (1) how to make the hooks stay in or (2) how to install a different/stronger hook.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kurt, I have a new 175 amp mig welder that can fasten that clothes bar in place once and for all. Just bring that canoe taxi over here and we will solve your problem.

the hook should be screwed into the roof of the truck, sounds like the hole or the screw is stripped out, try a thicker screw???

AHHH I see some of you have not had the pleasure of you wifes clothing fall out onto a wet surface [you know on that three day trip when she takes enough clothes for ten weeks, must have choices and selection, just in case we change our minds]. . and had to do some teeth extraction [from your butt... as if it was your fault]... the hanger is not screwed in it is a plastic wedge... the hanger portion goes in the slot and pushes the wedge into the hanger... marvelous POS hanger

Yeah, the hook d/n screw in..

Right, shoulda mentioned that the hook does not screw in. It has a square "post" with some barb-like things and is made of plastic. There is another post/wedge that goes into the main post to expand it.....

I was hoping someone found a sturdier/screw in replacement for this hook... ...

Anyone?

p. s. HVAC, I'm not sure I'm ready to weld my roof and liner just yet, but thanks for the offer.
