Ever since we bought our ETH the clutch has
engaged at the top. We pull a 31 foot fiver
and the clutch has never slipped, but from
what I can tell this is very common and does not mean that clutch is bad. FWIW I generally
depress the clutch a couple of inchs to shift
gears and it never has ground a gear.

i think that it is a charateristic of hydralic clutches. i have had a few cars that are this way as well... it seems that they are engineered this way for "less driver fatigue" when doing a lot of shifting. notice also that the pedal is a lot softer than a old mechanical clutch. mine has never slipped (except with the JVD in high)and it engages the same as yours.

My five speed is just the opposite, it engages as soon as it leaves the floor.

it hasnt slipped "yet" either, but I've only been brave enough to run the PM3 on level 5 #ad

BTW this is after the first clutch blew up at 12,400 miles.
