Just but my getrag back in after rebuild and wanted to change out the fluid in master cyl using the back feed.

Is this possible seeing as there is no bleeder on slave cylinder

Thanks Chet

If it is original, there should be an Allen head set screw on the slave cylinder that you can crack open and gravity bleed the system. Be careful to not let the reservoir go dry, as they are nearly impossible to bleed after that.

If you have a non-original setup, you may be SOL.

you also may want to check the pedal cluster under the dash

unless you have already repaired that and the pull rod

mine has wires all over the place and i am dreading that fix

It is kind of tricky, but the replacement slave cylinder with no bleeder screw can be bleed here is what I do. Unhook the little plastic straps that hold the plunder in the slave, then hold the slave cylinder at an angle and pour fluid into it slowly making sure most of the air gets out. Then push the plunger back in slowly and hook up the little straps this will get the last of the air out. Then take that under the pickup with you and set it someplace where it won't tip over or get dirt in and keep it handy. Have someone pour fluid into the resivour and make sure it stays full then I use my thumb as a bleeder screw while having someone push the pedal in then put your thumb over the line while they release it, repeat this like normal bleeding till all the air is out then carefully put the line back into the slave trying not to let any air in if a little bubble gets in there it seems to work its way out eventually.
