hey, I'm looking for the same info.

My clutch decided last nite it don't like 5th gear anymore (guess i solved a good bit of my fueling problems).

While I've never run anything but OEM and SBC, I've never had any regrets with the SBC or the service/information/advice I've received from Peter. As long as Peter is selling clutches, that's where I'll be getting them. My next one will be a Dual Disc plus input shaft upgrade. (auto/manual conversion).

I've ROASTED the little OFE in my 24v a couple times (3rd gear launch attempts). It's still holding fine--many miles on it. ;)

How many clutches do you want to install anyway?

Not trying to start a clutch war, just telling you about my personal experience with the Y2K NV5600 (small shaft) and little OFE (no longer made) holding 470/1000---a little beyond its rating.

I have a SB ConFE new in the box sitting in the garage That i won't be using. 2002(larger input ) type.

Melvin... ... ..... the Luk clutch as such, does not have anything to compare with the Con O fe. Not even in the same league. Peter may work with the Luk parts, but there the similarity ends. But know what you want it to do, before you buy. Different clutches for different needs.

you could buy rons FE and get a upgraded input from peter. thats what i did so when i need to upgrade to a DD that one less part i have to buy. it all depends on what you want to do with the truck. i will say this though. i had a small issue with my ofe when i first got it but i called up peter and he didnt even give me a bit of run around. he was ready to make it good right then and there. southbend will be the only clutch my rig will see. spendy but worth every penny. good luck to ya

Forget the email. You need to call Peter. I don't have the number handy, but it's not hard to find.

Our new truck has a 13" FE and the wife and I have NO complaints. ;)

the Luk clutch as such, does not have anything to compare with the Con O fe.

that may be true, But peter does not have anything that compares to the cerametallic for the $$$. the cerametallic is good for around 500hp (I think Stomps was holdin at the 604hp mark, and Joe D's held 486hp at the torque peak... ).

While the deal I got on my Luk cerametallic was better than most get, I have less than half the $$ in my 13" Luk and flywheel than the Con OFE costs.

The cerametallic is probably more grabby than the OFE, and it will cause accelerated wear to the flywheel surface, But for the $$, my vote goes to the cerametallic Luk.

I will also mention, I have nothing but good things to say about Peter. I've talked to him once or twice. Heck, he even gave advice on re-drilling my flywheel for the larger 13" pattern... . good guy in my book.

My . 01 cent's worth... (some say my advice isnt worth . 02 cents... . )
