compass

I installed a dual gauge a-pillar last night. In one hole I installed a fuel pressure gauge and in the second I installed a compass. Well the compass must be to close to the metal of the truck, I'm always headed in a N/NE direction. The compass is a marine compass. Does anyone know of a barrier that I might be able to put behind the compass that might help??

Do you have the tweeter in the pillar? If that is the case then the magnet in the speaker is your problem. A compass cannot be mounted anywhere near a magnet. There is no product that I'm aware of that will shield the compas from interference.
