This is my private truck, I am not a dealer. This truck produces over 400 engine hp, and over 300 hp at the rear wheels (Verified by a dyno test). It is very powerful and very reliable. I have had no problems with the truck modifications at all. The truck is still under the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty until June 2004 or 36,000 miles. Additionally, the engine is under factory warranty until 100,000 miles ( I would take both performance chips off before taking it to the dealer).

If you are looking for a gorgeous truck with plenty of power and reliability, and a factory warranty, this is the truck for you. For the first 10,000 miles during break-in, I used petroleum based oil in the engine, since break-in (10,000 miles) the oil has been Amsoil synthetic. The bed has been bedlined for protection, and has a reversible 5th wheel ball. The Front bumper, rear bumper, entire tailgate, and rocker panels have had a ClearBra (clear film) applied which prevents rock chips from chipping the paint. This truck is in near perfect condition.

I have had many questions regarding fuel mileage and engine life. The truck got approximately 16 mpg in town, 18 mpg on the highway when it was stock. With the combination of a free-flowing 4" exhaust(reduced exhaust temp), K&N Air filter, 275 Injectors, and the performance chips, the mpg went up to approximately 18 mpg in town, 20-21 mpg on the highway. The performance chips are a plug-in style, simply unplug them and you are back to stock (the stock chips were not removed). One of the chips is easily turned on/off by a toggle switch mounted in the cab (see pictures of a black box with a red light mounted next to the cigarette lighter. In the same picture, the switch with the orange light just below the power outlet is the Jacobs engine brake on/off switch). The performance modifications themselves have no effect on the life of the engine. The heat that can be created by the added horsepower (created by the performance modifications) can adversely affect the life of the engine if the engine temp or exhaust temp is gotten too hot. I installed an EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) gauge that is mounted on the drivers A-pillar so I can monitor the exhaust temperature. I have not ever had the EGT over 1250 degrees F, and the engine temp has never been over 210 degrees (I replaced the stock 210 degree thermostat with a 190 degree thermostat). I am told that one can run the EGT at 1350, but no hotter. This has not really been an issue. The EGT normally runs at approx. 700 degrees F. When pulling an exceptionally large load up a long, steep hill, I am easily able to hold 80 mph. If I try to hold 85 or 90 mph up the hill, the EGT temperature begins to rise into the 1200+ range. You can expect the engine to easily go 200,000 - 300,000 miles depending on how well the engine is cared for (i. e. routine oil changes, routine valve adjustments, routine mainenance schedule, etc. ), and if the truck is not abused (i. e. engine temp over 230 degrees F, and/or EGT temp over 1350 degrees F). This is the fourth Dodge Ram Diesel that I have owned and modified since 1995, and I have never had any problems. The other three trucks had over 200,000 miles on them when I sold them. The only reason I am selling this truck is because I am about to have another baby and I need something with four full-size doors. Remember, this is a no reserve auction, and the high bidder will own this truck.
