Can anyone tell me where the convereter drainback check valve is on my 99? My truck wont move until the converter fills back up after it sits for a couple of days. So I would need to replace it. Also any thoughts on mods I should do tothe system at this time?

Excuse my ignorance, but what the heck is a converter drain back? I'm know what a check valve is so I'm half way there:confused:

It is ( on my 02) on one of the lines at the oil to water cooler at the right lower side of the engine block. On yours, it may be at the cool line under the radiator.

On my '99, it is NOT in the transmission lines at the front of the engine; am thinking it must be at the inlet to the oil/water cooler as mentioned above.

It is on the passenger side trans cooler, on the forward line. Disconnect the transmission line and it will be on the cooler. It is a brass fitting with a small spring/ball in it.

I would put in the updated line with the oil temp sensor in it right away Taking temps at the output line is way more accurate than the pan. The new line has the check in it and I just took the check ball out of the fitting on the existing check valve fitting. And yes it is on the line going into the cooler left side of block. If you do a search there is a lot of info on the older style line with temp port built into it with dodge part #. I believe dtt sells them. I got mine from an online dogde parts supplier.
