I dunno guys, the luck I been having with the wildlife around here... ... had a deer take out the driver's door Firday morning. Anyway, it looks like IF we go, it sill be in her pickup. 04 model, better MPGs (she says), better tires (mine are bald). But dangit, mine would be a lot more fun, esp when we got there. Just have to see. I am already planning on calling in sick Sat morning at least. Just have to figure out a way around the caller ID- it'd most likely be from 2 states away :-laf.

I'm going to try and make it, I think I can swing it if it all comes together. I don't know if it is worth it to drag the camper along or just stay in a hotel.

... ... ... ... ..... I'd like to feel the power you got in your truck... ... ... ... ... .

I'd be happy to give you a demonstration in my rig, if you'r feeling up to it. For safety sake, it would probably be better for you to simply ask my wife :D :-laf

It's a go!!!

Talked to the boss today, and he said we should be done with the rice, or close enough, go ahead and make my plans. And, barring any more wildlife encounters, it also looks like we'll probably be taking the dually, and save the miles on her Dakota for our trip out west, whenever that may be. Hopefully have new tires on it, or take them along, and mount them at the shin-dig. Probably drive Friday night, and get there when we get there. You got camping room, Case500D? I mean, like a 2 man tent in front of the pickup type camping? I'll send you a PM.

DP, awesome, looks like I'm at a definate go now. I'll be in a 2 man tent by Jeremy's lake. Don't think the 89 will make it though. Got the turbo mounted, IC'd fuel lines waitn to be installed since I can't get the IC'd throttle bracket on there with my lines in the way, I'll post more later. Will be bringing the stocker 91.

Carl, what would you like for trade for all these goodies; bacon, syrup, beer???Anything I can bring Philip? How are you and Jeremy on tools? I was planning on bringing the tools I've bought in the past just for the CTD. 24mm deepwell socket, 36mm fan clutch and kit, homemade injector puller, 15mm 6PT wrench, 8lb sledge, I'm sure theres more I'll see when I'm at the tool box.

Bill I am going to have one of my tool boxes there. I am bringing my welder and solvent tank. Plus anything else I think we might need.

If you want to bring tools thats fine. Just a normal selection you would take on the road with you. You might want to bring some rags or shop towels. Not sure how many I have to bring out. :D

Everyone planing on coming go to the thread in the events/ Great lakes section. I have an email address posted there. I need to send out maps to Jeremy's place. PM's here will not let me send attachments. So I have to use email to send them.

Excellent, we get to meet Daniel and Bill too! :) I'm getting more excited as the day draws nearer-how many more sleeps? Hehe Bill, don't worry about trading for the Canadian goodies, just consider it payback for all the precious info you guys have given me :)

I'm thinking about leaving thursday afternoon sometime, which I would get there sometime pretty early in the morning. I'm thinking maybe I'll need to have a cat nap at that point and then maybe go do a little shopping ;) Are they any diesel shops close, and will anyone else be out there ready to go on the Friday?

Greenleaf-Maybe I'll just watch you drive your truck from the road lol

Carl G

Yea, I'll be there.

PHP:
Busy crusin' for chics, and watchin' all 6 gauges

Bill you dog.

It takes me so long too get caught up, that I would of almost missed this event that is coming together. I'll be there with bells on,... or maybe not, but ya'll get the idea. :-laf I would like to go for a ride in a few of these high-horse trucks and shoot the breeze.

See ya there,

Cool... ... see you there!!!

I have to work on Friday Oct 1st. Will be driving out that evening. The wife won't get off untill 4:00 or so. It's about a five hour drive for us to Peru, so won't be in the area untill late that evening. I'll probably head for the Best Western as soon as we are in town. Clean bugs off the truck and look out for other members trucks Oo.

If some guys are @ the Best Western that night, we'll have to hold our "first anual executive meeting " :) Burn-outs in the parking lot are stickly prohibited

Thought I better kick this back to the first page. Time is getting near.

Looks like we are getting around 15 or so trucks and around 30 people.

Anyone else interested.

Hea PastorB if you leave on Tuesday you could make it here by then. I still want your front bumper. :D

Finally back on TDR

All right guys, the modem is fixed, the hay is baled, and it is finally time to get really worried about about a bunch of diesel hippies (I saw something about Village People mentioned) camped in my front yard. :{ or ah I mean Oo. For those of you coming on Friday, tent camping is available and/or sleeping in MI Don's 1st gen home on wheels. We are planning to cook a pot of chillie over a campfire on Friday evening. It should be ready about 6:30 or so. No farting around the campfire because the last time the neighbors saw strange blue lights over here, well it wasn't good. Then Saturday morning it will be a 7:00 a. m. breakfast at the local greasy spoon, I mean very greasy spoon. Bring your own antacid and TP please. Hope everyone can make it as it will be a good time. Now it is time to get the workshop cleaned up and the yard mowed. Got to find that dang 1st gen on blocks I lost.

Jeremy

PS I am totaly not responsible for the bird dog peeing on your legs or truck rims. Enter at your own risk! :-laf

Ugh, finally got this dam computer goin  I dont know if i just got viruses or what but this damned thing has been acting up pretty bad. One week! Can't wait! I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but thanks very much guys for putting this thing on:)

Carl G

P. S. Got any Village People cds? LOL

Carl,

Just can't seem to find any Village People. Must of stuck that CD in the skeet thrower :-laf Scott, bring some of Johnny's best. "One Piece At A Time" will fit in well here. If things get dull, I can always pull out a couple of Bill Monroe CDs (read BLUEGRASS). See everyone Friday or Saturday.

Jeremy

I got some Johnny, Marty, and Chris Ledoux. There is a lake? Cool. We'll get there at 10pm Friday at the earliest- I'm going to try to get off by 4, fly up to Jackson, and take a nap while she drives. Might get a motel, though we have gotten pretty good at setting the tent up in under 10min :D. In the headlights, even. Bill, when are you leaving? We'll be passing right through Terre Haute.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting the residents of the funny farm in person. Sounds like I need to bring the cast iron skillet to cook in, huh? Oh, and unless diesl jumps another dime this week, we'll be in the dually. It's only 350mi from her house; not enough difference to amount to anything once it's all said and done.
