Anyone else coming from the North side? A 1st Gen convoy would be really cool I'm having a Helluva time trying to get my stuff done thou... I wanted to go to this place called Paint F/X and get a can of spray paint to paint my dash pod before it goes on, No can do ! Anyone know if it would be hard to cash a cheque from here out there? I've been working from 7:30 am to 8:30-9:00 every day this week to try to get caught up at work but that's not happening either lol. Come this weekend thou, to Hell with all that Greenleaf or anyone - do you know what tha rate/night is at the Best Western? The thought of setting up a tent sounds pretty cool but I'm not sure after a long drive like that I'd feel so good about it hehe. You guys getting "Pumped" ? I know I am Marlies and Winstons mmmmmmm

I don't recall what the room rate is. Seems like $75 to $85 is what the desk clerk quoted me. My wife balled me out for reserving one @ that rate as she said she could have done better through some network of hers. I bought her a new snow shovel for her Birthday and she didn't like that either... ... ... ... ... sometimes there is no pleasing her.

You know I enjoyed that lawn mower for many years afterwards.

I should be there friday evening. Still haven't decided if I am dragging the camper or not. I guess I'll make that call when I am ready to leave tomorrow. I stopped and got a nice stash of stoggies today, makes the trip more enjoyable.

Man, I'm choked. I went to buy the Canadian bacon, they only had 6 pkgs, so i got them to make up another 9 and asked for extra thick. Well, I get home and it's extra thin! $50 worth of useless bacon Dam, couldn't they screw up a smaller order? Ugh I'm not happy Should I even bring it guys? Is there something we can do with it? They're usually pretty good there, never had a problem yet until now of all times. I'm leaving in an hour or two, mad as hell Lol. Maybe i'll leave it for the boys at the border so they can have a cookout lol

I really hate to double post, but I'm getting a little nervous when I look at my map Lol. I've never driven alone south of the border before :scared:

Am i gonna come across alot of toll bridges and stuff? How much change should I carry? The link to my route is at the bottom of this post if you wanna check it out... any of these exits real easy to miss?? Lol Now THAT is something i don't want to get into a habit of doing :-laf

Man I thought I had a long drive . I can't give you much advice on travel in the north since I have onle been to WI a couple times myself. Just be careful and drive safe.

Still haven't decided if I am dragging the camper or not.

Bring it mudcat! My gal and my dawg and I will be there crashing in the 1st gen house. Hoping to go done to Ceraland for a night or two afterwards. It'll be fun! This is my 1st TDR event. Why, oh why didn't I get involved in this back when I had my trucks?

Carl the toll section is around Chitown. Tolls should run around$5. 00 or so.



On those directions. Do not go down I65 to US24. Go I65 to US30 east to US31 south. That is a better route and it is four lane. US24 is a windy two lane road with a lot of Sunday drivers all hours of the week. Just use US31 to US24. Peru is east of the intersection about 2 miles of those two roads.

Have fun guys! I wish I could come down, but I just got in from 9 days on the road at 4 AM yesterday, and I've got so much work piled up it's just silly. Also, I'm a little worried about seeing Puckett. Don't really know if he liked that truck I sold him (The one before the one he has now. I think he got out from under it anyway. )

Christina got us a room at I think a Super 8, (or similar such accomodations), in Kokomo. Half hour shorter drive this afternoon, closer on the way back Sat nite. See y'all Sat AM.
