i decided to go up a size and got these in a 285... a meaty lookin tire . very happy with them... i own a smarty with my bro. . he has it 90% of the time . . i adjusted tire size when i put them on,milage is down about 1 to 1. 5 mpg

question? does the smarty have to be vin locked to get the correct mph or will it adjust 10 different trucks for tires??

On a side note to the smarty question. I did notice a mileage drop when i put STTs on (or any MT tire). Its an aggressize tire and takes more to get em rolling and keep em going. Even with a larger diameter, which should (in most cases) help mileage. I guess its the price you pay for being able to fling mud pies :)

I run the STT's on my dually as long as you rotate them you should get some good mileage out of them. I run the 265 which are E load range and the 285 are D i think but should be about the same.

I have the STT's on my truck, 285 75R16's, and They look really good, and really can't complain about them. They are load range D's, but I don't have a goose and rairly tow a trailer so I don't need E's

I used to get around to 17 - 18 mpg around town, with the ULSD and 285 Toyo's I am getting closer to 16 - 17 mpg. That is with Smarty SW set at 2 or 4.
