Saw this at Costco today. I suspect that it's probably the same supplier that is supplying the Walmart diesel oil which has always performed very well when it's been tested. Would be interesting to have someone test this oil and see what the makeup is.

I have use this Costco oil in my '96 Cummins truck which is used on Catalina Island, which the climate is different than driving on the mainland.

so I guess this means that they are NOT selling Delo 400E 15-40 anymore?
Or perhaps it is simply the same product repackaged for a better price??

I just realized that if you look closely on the the side of the box in Sag's picture you can see that it is "Manufactured by Warren Distribution" which is also the suplier of Walmart and Amazon and other private lables. Has a good rep too!

Not near nor am I a member of Costco but if I was I would jump on that, Walmarts 15/40 is $1.00 more a gallon. I've always used Walmart super tech 15/40, diff fluid and ATF+4 @ 50K. Over 70K miles and happy with their product. Had Blackstone look at the 15/40 with 9K on the oil, all was good.

But don't you need a COSTCO membership too buy that oil? If so, that cost must be filtered into the cost of the motor oil since it is a membership club this is not open to every one.
I can buy Shell Rotella T6 for $8.29 per 1 gal bottle at Blain's Farm And Fleet local store here. So, to me the Costco price for regular diesel oil is not that low of a price. Plus I do not need a membership to the store.

Yeah but you usually buy a lot more than oil. At least we do. Seem's i rarely get out of there without laying down $300.00 so that membership cost get's diluted quite a bit. Just sayin.

I do belong to Costco and bjs. The demographic in Costco is either a business owner or church organizer with a flat cart holding $1000 in food, candy and drink OR a avg Joe with a shopping cart holding a flat of baked goods, a case of k cups and maybe another item.
If you know how to shop in there, you can make back your membership easily. Example is that oil, and food like the huge bag of Tyson boneless chicken breasts I get for about $20. They also have 18” take n bake pizzas for 8.99. You can’t beat some deals in there. Food court is popular too.

Never been in one. Nearest one is probably pushing 50 miles away. They are building one about 30 or so away, so I might check it out.

We live a half mile from Costco. Quality company.

Its a know fact Costco looses money on the Hot Dog and rotisserie chicken there logical is you come to shop and spent far more on other of there products. This is a real great business I see same folks in several of there stores for many years!:)
