"They had not forgoten to bolt the rear tire on. the 5 star tec drove off for test drive and the wheel fell off jacked up wheel, brake drum shoes, axle, backing plate,And to top it all off he put a dent in front fender and scrached the hell out of both fenders. "

That really sucks!!! NOW I am worried about them messing up my truck. When they told me how long it would take, I asked to come and get it. The service manager said it would be perfectly safe there for the next three weeks. I hope so.

The crack was toward the rear of the block on the right side under the transmission cooler tank,(for those who have autos) It was about 3 inches above the pan ledge and about 6 inches forward of the bellhousing. It really looked like a bunch of little pinholes all in a row. And it only seeped when the engine was running, although it was getting worse daily and I would suspect in another week it would have been easier to find.

What to look for?

I am looking at several 1999's. What can I look for? Where are the cracks located at, how is best to see?

Are there any similarities in the serial numbers to look for? If so where are the serial numbers located.

Thanks
