I need some help!

Does anyone have the part number on the cruise control switch package for a 1992 with the three spoke steering wheel? Someone must have a number that they know is correct.

I contacted two dealers in the Memphis area but neither could tell me if the part number they showed was the kit with two switches mounted on a steel cross bar. Neither of them had one in stock to look at and will only order it as a special order with non-refundable payment in advance. I don't mind paying in advance if I can be sure that I will get the part I need. They both quoted a price in the $35. 00 or so area, which I seem to remember someone mentioning was correct in the past. I contacted Tenafly by email and was asked to call them. I called and they quoted $84. 00 less 30%! Either they are quoting the wrong part or are really marking up the price.

By the way, there is a new 2 spoke steering wheel with the switches on eBay at this time if anyone is interested. It is item #2479251358 and it closes soon.

Thanks!

Sorry i don't have the part number for it but i think if the dealership is giving you that hard of time you need to go somewhere else. I was standing right there with the parts guy when we special ordered it and it was very clear on the computer what i needed. It was a Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB). I would try contacting some other dealerships, those ones don't sound like they want to do anything for you. These switches are very easy to install once you get them though.

Go to dodgeparts.com click on the OEM Catalog tab at the top, put in truck year and model. Search for keywords "engagement switch" (OEM Mechanical) 2 options will come up. If you just want the 2 buttons (and wiring) that are on the steering wheel click on the $27. 85 option (I can't figure out how to show the part # sorry). Don't know what the expensive one is, but I just ordered this a few weeks ago. I think with shipping I saved a couple bucks over what the local dealer wanted.

BigKid,

I bought a set of switches last fall. My truck is in the shop, as is the box it came in, so I can't give you the part number right now. I did pay 35. 00 at the dealer, which ordered it without payment until I picked it up. The switch is actually both sides. You can't order just one, which was all I needed. After numerous road trips with functional Cruise control, it was worth the price.

If you haven't gotten the number by next Wednesday, I'll post it. Good luck!!

When I ordered my new switches they just asked if I had a 3 or 4 spoke wheel, I was glad I had the 3 spoke, it was around $30 the one for the 4 spoke was close to $100.

Sorry I don't have reciept, also when they came I didn't think it was the correct part when I saw the box, it's very small but it was all there.

Good Luck,

Caleb

Call Mopar4Less. I've dealt with them before and I've always liked their attitude, service and price. Just remember though, they don't seem to have the personnel to answer a lot of e-mails, so if you want a price quote call.

Just want to thank those who responded to this request!

It appears that the #56006422 kit is the correct one. The number that Tenafly gave me is apparantly the combination switch on the left side of the column on older models! It is #4373257 and lists for $82. 25.

Mopar4less informed me that the #56006422 kit is the correct one and that it is available for $26. 75.

Again, Thanks and this again proves that the TDR is a great group of people!
