Well, the cruise control went out today, and when I went under the hood, I found that the vacuum line to the controller was very brittle and had broken.

Anybody know what diameter line I need to fix this? It appears to be about a yard long. Something that I can purchase at a parts store or do I need to purchase from a dealer?

Thanks in advance for any assistance that you can provide.

Thanks. I managed to get it fixed with part of the broken connector and a length of 3/8" vacuum hose (so much easier working on this in the daylight!) and it's holding for now. Will try to get by the dealer in the next few days and get the part to fix it the right way.

Appreciate the tips.

If you hafta do it again I'd recommend truck air brake line. A lot of posts about battery corrosion damaging the line under the tray - I think that the airline would be more resistant to insult.

The best idea is not avoid any battery corrosion or leaking... ... ... that line is the cheapest thing under the Battery:-laf

I finally solved the battery corrosion problem by installing a pair of Optimas a few weeks ago. Should have done that a year ago, but thought the older style would last a bit longer. False economy.
