Trip to Costco a couple days ago I hit cruze/set and nothing displayed. I tried several times it would not set speed. On the way home I tried again, nothing!

Yesterday trip to RiteAid same thing.

Everything else is working as usual. So any thoughts as to why it's not working?

Sounds like something similar my wife's 2015 does/did from time to time. You had to really mash the button and rock your finger on it to get it to come on. I took some canned air and blew around the edge of the button, seems to have cured the issue. Must have gotten some dust on the contacts in the button.

I wonder if I should hit the on/off button with some Electrical contact Cleaner? I did push hard after it not working.

That would probably work as well. Hopefully it's as easy of fix for yours as ours was.

I think you can also replace the switch pad...if needed?

Here is a wild idea check for any codes that have been stored in the ECM. I know that the cruise control will not work if the ABS brake system has a code! I had a bad wheel sensor on the front RH wheel that would throw a code every once in awhile and the cruise would not work. When the code was cleared the cruise would start working again.
Just a thought!

I just tried the Electronic cleaner along with pushing in the center multiple times and the 4 corners, no luck!

Had the same thing happen, it would show the cruise icon, but when I pushed set it would not active or turn green.
Was on the way to Montana, called ahead, and got into dealer in Idaho, and it was just a flash or reset of some kind ,nothing mechanical or anything needing replaced . Took less then an hour. I was still on warranty.

When you push the on, off button does the cruise icon appear in the lower right hand corner of the screen, but will not turn green ,and activate the cruise when the set button is pushed ?? If so it sounds like whatever mine was doing .

I’m guessing trip to dealer. I have MaxCare so it should be covered.

Only bad thing is I don’t want the drag link welded.

As mentioned I have no idea how to check codes.

No icon in the the lower right ,or telling you cruise is activated ???? Different then what mine did, it just wouldn't set ,and turn the icon green .

Last time at a dealer ,I had to tell them to leave the drag link alone, they had no problem with that, and did the other recall I did want .

I’ve had to replace the cruise button switch assy on my 2015 and 2018. Believe me, that’s your problem. If my local dealer keeps the part in stock it’s a very common failure item (they had 5).

No Cruise control for sure! Both my trucks had the adjuster sleeve welded up last year and I haven't even looked at them since the day it was done. Don't sweat the small stuff.

You are correct! I was just hoping for a real fix. I had my truck aligned 50k back and the tires are still wearing great. So I guess it does not matter as I don't plan to get another alignment unless front end parts are replaced.

Any chance you have a part number for that cruise switch? Mine is failing also.

Mine was replaced under warranty back in 2016, and a year later it started acting up again. My temp fix is to do a medium thump of the steering wheel with my hand and it will start working again (sometimes 2 or 3 thumps). This usually fixes it for 15 to 20 starts, then it needs another thump.

Take some JB weld and make a couple of fake welds then hit it with some black spray paint. Tell em' the recall was done at a different dealership... If your lucky and they fall for it maybe they'll check off the recall as performed on your rig.
