I was invited to a Dyno Day for a bunch of Dakota RT guys in Houston. Those guys are serious about their trucks. All good looking trucks with great numbers. A couple of Super Charged 450+ HP RTs in the group.

I have an 04. 5 600, 4x4, 3. 73 Gears, 48RE, BFG 315s, AFE Stage II Air Intake w/Pro-Guard 7, Banks Monster 4" Cat Back Exhaust and the Juice w/Attitude. Did three pulls no torque available. They did not have the adapter/pickup or whatever they needed. Second time at two different places that has been the case.

DynoJet Dyno - The Mustang Dyno was tied up for the day.

Pull 1 Juice/Attitude Level 3 324. 30HP

Pull 2 Juice/Attitude Level 4 342. 32HP

Pull 3 Juice/Attitude Level 5 360. 19HP

One thing interesting was the guy running the Mustang Dyno has a 2004 2500 4x4 Chevy Duramax with Auto. He has the same air intake, exhaust system, tires and the Juice w/Attitude. He said that his had almost identical numbers. His Level 5 was 358HP.

I am satisfied with these numbers for now. The truck dyno'd 280 stock. Next time on the Mustang Dyno I will see if a load will spool it up quicker and maybe be a little higher numbers. After the trans upgrade then I will swap for the HOT Juice and go from there.

How much % slip did your attitude record. When I run mine on level 4 it has recorded up to 9% have not even tried level 5. That's probably why the numbers are low.

The Attitude did not show any slip. I had the Backdown disabled. I believe that when you ease into it like was done on the dyno, that slipage would be very little. Once you get to 65-70 in lockup and then down to WOT it did not seem to slip at all. Ran up against the RPM Rev limit on all three runs. I am suprised that it did not show any at all. Normally when I get on it in level 3 or 4 it will show a 4% slip. Once you get to 65-70 in lockup and then down to WOT it did not seem to slip at all. Ran up against the RPM Rev limit on all three runs.

Wasn't really trying to break anything, just want to get an idea of the actual HP to the ground with the Juice/Attitude. I am sure the trans upgrade will put 25-30 HP more to the ground with everything else the same.

An additional 80+ HP to the ground is kinda in range of the 100HP(FlyWheel I guess) stated in the manual for level 5.

doesent the transmission OD lockout function with the controller defuel only when the converter is locking? ive played around with my dad's 04. 5 and it definately defueled at lockup, but does it always defuel, hence there being no slip, or does it only defuel when slip is detected? i had to turn of the slip protection to see what it would do. lets say between me and him driving the transmission has been wounded :-laf . it's a night and day difference between driving my 12v with the suncoast auto, and the DC slushbox!

Well I hope the Juice/Attitude monitoring knows the difference between defueling on lockup and slipage in the TC. I also need to ask Edge if disableing backdown on EGT and Boost Max also disables it for trans slipage, I didn't think so. But under controlled accelleration on a dyno you can be a lot easier on the transmission. On the Mustang Dyno with a load, it might be a different story.
