Hauled my '96 to Indiana this weekend. Don't have a trailer, so I rented a Bobcat trailer that they assured me was 18'. It was 16'
. I got her wedged on there but had to strap the ramps up in back, as they couldn't go up a full 90 degrees. Tires were touching the walls on both sides (BARELY fit) and the rear tires were only about 18" from the back of the trailer.
Anyway, I'm going to be needing to bring the '96 back in a month or so, and am thinking ahead. I may just get a ride out there and drive it back, as it's only 2. 5 hours, but the problem is it's not going to be too streetable at that point. I could rent a tow dolly to bring it back, but am concerned since the tow-ee will weigh as much as the tow-er. Any thoughts on whether this would be okay? (this is assuming they even make a dolly heavy enough)
