Anyone know this part #? for the 22 X 1. 5mm plug? I went to www.dodgeram.org and saw a part # there and took that # to a Freightliner dealer to pick up a bunch of washers. When I got there, they looked small and were all copper (not the rubber coated metal one), but I guesed that the dodgeram.org sight new what they were talking about (and yes I did check the package markings and it was #3920773 like the website said) I get home with them ... and find out they are too small.

So much for accuracy on the dodgeram.org site.

I have the Geno's Heavy Duty drain plug and the gasket has worn out and I have a small drip.

Also, is there any way to order Cummins parts from the web for delivery? I can't seem to find anyplace on the web that does this.

Fat Cat,

Your in luck today, I keep a few Mopar replacement oil drain plug gaskets around. The part number is 04882049. I have been looking in other areas besides Mopar for a replacement, hopefully soon I will find one. I want to offer them on my web site so more people can have access to them, and at a reasonable price. This little gasket is what causes so many people trouble with their drain plugs. They neglect to replace this gasket, and as a result end up over tightening the drain plug to get it to seal. A good rule of thumb would be to replace the gasket every oil change, but I don't see that happening with most owners. Almost every new car now comes with a alloy sealing washer/gasket, that is suppose to be replaced with every oil change. These small sealing washers are very cheap, around . 10, and come taped to the side of oil filters when bought Thur reputable OEM parts suppliers, like H and A Honda accessories, Auto works and so forth. Problem is with most Dodge/Cummins owners is they worry about the big stuff and let the smaller, more obvious fall Thur the cracks. My advice would be to carry themselves down to the local Dodge parts counter and order 5-6 of these sealing gaskets and have them around for when you need them, like at the next oil change. Then swap out the old sealing washer for a new one, and tighten the drain plug back to OEM specs.

What's your web site? I'd order a $h*t load of them if I could find someone who sells them. I spend 2 hours and 80 miles driving to 5 parts dealers yesterday (Saturday) and no luck!!!!! It's like you have to go begging on your knees to find a Cummins or Dodge dealership to purchase one . . Oh and you need to take a vacation day to go there since they all seem to be open between 9am and 4pm M-F only.
