I am currently working with Cummins Tech Support to figure out why mine is not getting correct readings. Volts, Vehicle speed and temp readings are correct. Fuel used, Boost, ECM vehicle milage, inst economy and other readings are not correct. Cummins thinks that it may be a bad software load in the ECM. No real answers yet.
As for the Security feature, it is not available for the Dodge applicaiton at this time.
My Humble Opinion about the Road Relay for the Dodge is this:
Cummins does not seem to have very much support for this applicaiton and it makes it hard to resolve problems. I also see where a flash done by the DC dealership could effect the operations of the Road Relay and the dealership is not responsible to correct the problem nor is Cummins. This is a major concern to me that Cummins had no answer.
Another concern is BOMBS. BOMBS will effect the accuracy of some of the readings. Due to the problems I am currently having
I am unable to provide any additional info on this at this time.
I am still trying to justify the cost versa benifit gained. Most of the critical functions are already taken care of with the factory instrumentaion. EGT and Fuel preasure is not monitored by this so you still have to buy additional gauges to monitor. The maintenance scheduling, trip modes, and error code display are nice and for some may be the only justification need.
To sum this up, I do not know if there are enough additional critical functions that are monitored to justify the cost. I other concern is support. DC says it is not their product and Cummins says they cannot touch the ECM. It is going to be interexting to see if they are going to be able to fix my problem or point to DC as the problem. I will let you know. Sorry for the long post
