Competition Anybody use MicroBlue Turbo Bearing Coating?

Competition dynoed today

I figured the 5/16 (1/4 I. D)pickup wasnt going to cut it so we started a new In tank pick up system.

Here is our first step,
The fitting made in shop from 1 1/2" aluminum round stock to hold the 5/8 (9/16 I. D) pick up tube.

the return on the fuel module is for the FASS return, the return on the tank is for the regulator return.

This is some good info guys, I like that 3/4" pickup as it should be plenty!

I'm looking at ditching the stock filter housing and building a bracket for a filter housing in that place for a Racor filter, and changing to a Racor on the aux system too. Got to fix some damage from contaminated fuel... ... beat up the 370's.

Jim

Pick up soldered in place and bent accordingly to meet the middle of the sender.

Forgot to mention before,

We soldered a sleeve on the pick up tube and put a spring inbetween the bottom of the sender and the sleeve so it will stay against the tank when it expands.

It's kind of hard to see but its there:-laf

I don't have a suction filter on mine but it is adviseable, Aeromotive has a 100 micron filter that would be nice to keep big stuff from tearing up the pump.

Something I'm having issues with and am going to have to address is trash in the injectors. On my last injector cleaning Brady told me that (4) of my 370's were beatup from contamination, the other two were salvageable.

I'm going to change my FS1001 filter over to a 2 micron Racor and ditch the stock filter housing for a Fleetguard spin on and add a Racor there also and see if I can clean the issue up bit!

Jim

Michael, what's with the inline filter after the A1000? What are you using for your suction filter?

The filter after the Pump is extra insurance and incase the A1000 takes a Poop:-laf

There is a screen from the factory that goes on the bottom of the pickup,

Ill post a picture tomarrow
