A friend of mine has an 02 qc 4x4 6spd. It has a limited slip that opens most of the time. I was thinking about trying to restack the clutches and frictions to make it grab better. We havent pulled the cover yet to see if its the one we will be able to do that to, but i was wondering how hard it is, whats the steps to do it and if any special tools would need to be involved? thanks,

Lance

If you need the parts call. . 4 sight 518 736 2030 great guy very good prices Please tell him Olee send you. He has all the dana and gear parts you need.

Olee, did you sell 4-sight a clutch? The last pull I saw him at he smoked his clutch but still beat me, I should of tried 4th low at that time, I would've had him. That was last year.

Last July 2005, his truck ran good but the clutch was smoking, I didn't make it to that pull this year so I'm not sure if he ran again or not.

Thanks ls1 and olee, Can you guys tell me when i do this, will i need to use a posi additive still? Will I need any special tools to do this?

I did mine with the stock parts that were in the original carrier ( I didn't buy extra clutches ) and I don't remember using any special tools. You just have to be careful getting the carrier lined up and back into the housing if you don't have a spreader. Also, I had to use additive because the limited slip got very aggresive. I just used one bottle and it still is a little aggresive but I don't want to add anymore because it makes the clutches slip so you are going backwards in your attempt to tighten it up. Just to let you know I did this when the carrier was brand new.

A spreader is the only special tool that I used, it can be done without it but I wouldnt suggest it. I used one bottle of additive from the dealer and it will still chirp it inside wheel if I use any throttle when turning in parking lots.
