Last Friday afternoon the mighty Cummins died while going down the road and I still had 14psi on my pillar fuel gauge. I had no idea what was wrong.
So I had AAA road service haul it and me to the closest Dodge dealer and they said my Holley blue fuel pump down on the frame rail was dead. I was glad it was that and not the ECM and/or the injector pump.
They said it would cost $800. 00 to do an intank fuel pump and 4 days to get the pump. DUH!
Told them no thanks and I would repair myself.
So I bought & installed a new pump and the engine started right up, thank goodness!
Now my dash says:
BRAKE
ABS
LOW FUEL
and the fuel gauge from dead off moves just a little but is below the "E" mark.
I have NO CODES and over half a tank of fuel.
Does anyone have any thoughts and/or comment about what I should do next to get rid of the problem lights?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
