Thanks to the help of JKloppe and his friend, I got my DDIIs in on sat. night in under an hour. 3 gear heads are better than one...

I'm putting in my thoughts for anyone who might be "iffy" on them as I was for a long time.

- CLUTCH: it holds. I had 70k on mine with some towing and it holds fine. Even when I drag raced JKloppe and blew a stop sign... yeehaw!!! I'll see how long it lasts, but I've been driving it like I hate it for the past two days and it is fine.

- SMOKE: not bad. I'm @ 5,000 feet and I get some a fair amount if I'm lugging the motor, but other than that, no real difference. The DDIIs just really tell on you when you don't give you machine enought RPMs...

- POWER: nice once you get some boost and fuel from you box. I only had my box on #2 and you don't really feel the injectors till above 10 psi when you have boost and fuel being delivered to be burned. Once you get these two though, the truck wakes up and pulls hard. Very fun.

- ONE BAD THING: my EGTs are about 100 deg. higher. Climbs pretty fast too.

Used to cruise @ 600 @ 70, now @ 700. If I'm in 2nd gear and I get into it a bit, then I will top 600 too. Takes a sec. longer to cool down to 300, but it isn't bad enough for me to worry.

So if any of you are iffy for any of these reasons, see above then go for it. Best $460 I've spend on the truck besides the EZ.

Good Post! Thanks for the info and your impressions.

My DDII's are on the way. And I also have the EZ. We'll get to see how it smokes at a lower altitude! Oo.

Matt, does this mean we have something to install saturdayOo. Oo. Oo. I know BigDaddy and Heyboss enjoy doing injectors

Hey there CTRam!!

I don't have them in my hot little hands yet. I'm not sure when they will become available. It all depends on when a certain party takes 'em out of his truck and replaces them with hotter injectors.

It would be nice if we had them by Saturday, but no idea when they'll appear at my door.

I will prolly consider a set of these before too long. I have the clutch ready to be installed in a day or so. Just as soon as I can do without the truck and my mechanic finishes up a small chore on his current list.

Just installed DDII's last weekend. In Houston (low altitude) it smokes like a $#%# with the EZ set on 3. I had to turn it down to 2. It still smokes pretty good, but it's a little more controllable. Clutch seems to hold, but time will tell on that one.

Max boost I have seen is just under 35psi. I may be able to see more, but I'm trying to take it easy on my clutch until I have the money to buy a Southbend. The DDII's and 4" JRE exhaust cleaned me out :{

The power? Pretty impressive once the boost kicks in, like azcummins said.

EGT is a little higher, but with the setup I'm running now, I haven't seen any truly high temps yet (empty truck).

I would recommend the DDII's. Lots of bang for the buck!

Man after reading this I really want to get those DD2's as they are collecting dust on my dresser unil I get time to put them in. I suppose I will need to set my EZ to #2 as well. As with the DD1's and EZ on #3 it smokes pretty good now.
