Is the PCM flash 18-015-17 available for the 2014 2500 model? From what Bob4x4 listed my truck could use it.
So where are we on the dead pedal issue today. Dodge called me today as I reported it and my USB port not recognizing any song producing device as its supposed to and she pretended like no one has ever reported this before. I cant believe that this hasn't been reported over the couple years of complaints I have seen and the likelihood that it is just TQ management. Also, I understand that someone had a Nissan with cummins motor and a simple flash update fixed the same problem with that vehicle.
Do the ones with dead pedal also have the transmission slipping problem shifting to 3rd and 4th gear? Could be FCA trying to mask a problem with the trans, make it last until out of warranty.
A 300 to 400 rpm increase in engine rpm , for 2 seconds or more when upshifting is a lack of oil pressure to engage the clutch pack properly. This is not a torque converter lock/ unlock issue, if it were the over-rev would happen consistently with all gear shifts not just consistently with one or two. The duration of the dead pedal time is about the same as the over-rev delayed shift time. There is no slipping problem. It's called shift flare and it's the torque converter locking/unlocking. If these transmissions slip you'll know immediately because the dash will light up like a Christmas tree.
