First of all, Not bashing todd or ynot at all.
Messing with the odometer, DC only cares that they don't pay out extra warranty claims and give out more warranty miles to a certain truck. That is a given.
Changing injectors really does not effect the pump at all. The problem with the pump lies in lift (fuel) pump going out and the injection pump is cooled by fuel. Thus, no fuel=burned out injection pump. The injectors only allow more fuel to flow. Thousands of 12v's have high flow injectors and I never here of a injection pump going out, they are oil cooled. Should DC void warranty b/c someone installed a fuel guage which could be considered changing fuel fitting and modification of the fuel system, no. What about adding a second lift pump to decrease the chances of a burning out an injection pump? Well, if it was installed correctly, then no. It is really hard but you need to remember that DC, Ford, etc is always looking to save money. Dealers would rather not do warranty work, they make more $ on non-warranty jobs. I don't persoanlly have a proble removing a part to get warranty work done. The dealers are worse then anything a customer could ever do. DC still painting cars with bad paint they knew about, transmission problems they don't want to fix. Poor lift pump design, #53 blocks, duct tape on the 3rd gen rocker panels, death wobble. DC's favorite answer to the customer is- performs to factory spcs. No BS that is not right, so some times you have to F back when they try screwing the customer every chance they get.
Let me give you all an example, my uncle has a 2001 Cobra R and many other mustangs. Well, he beats the crap out of them and races them at the track. Ford says racing voids warranty. Well, what else was the Cobra made for? It is a factory Race Car with NO A/C. I mean give me a break. They didnt want to fix the car under warranty b/c he raced the car. Well, wasn't that what it was intended to do? He got a lawyer to write a letter and has not had a problem since. The local dodge dealer even fixes his Viper under warranty with race slicks and no cats. It has a lot to do if you know the dealer and if you got $$$.
Lesson for today-Modify at your own risk, if you think you are going to void your warranty, don't do it. Minor plug in boxes, gauges, air filters, exhausts, you will be fine. But messing with splicing wires, internal engine and transmission mods, you might be screwed
