Bad side affects??? Like what??? Worse than dying from covid???
No, you don't know anyone with that bad side affects from any vaccine.
You definitely should still be wearing a mask.

Yes Dad.

Blood clots in a lady’s lungs for one. I am confident if I caught it I will survive.

Let's not get into this here, fellows. No one's going to change anyone's mind on a forum, no matter what you say. If you want to get the vaccination, get it and consider yourself protected and let the people that chose not to get the vaccination take their chances. I chose to take it.

Got the new pump today. Just finished the instal. If I hadn’t received one today, it would have September 1 for the next batch. Unbelievable. Instal went ok. Took 1.5 hours. Most of that was drawing the tank at a controllable rate so I didn’t get DEF everywhere. I probably lost no more than a cup of fluid total. Once the lock ring was off, the pump doesn’t just fall out, it has to be worked out of the sealing ring on the tank so the Def drains out fairly slowly. Anyway, pumps in and seems to be working. Got to do some test driving and try to get it into regen.

Glad that it's in and appears to be working.

DEF, nor the DEF pump, do not have anything to do with regen. Are you also having regen issues?

It’s that way with any part. I’ve been working with six vendors for the past two days trying to find someone that has about $10K of Cummins parts and $8K of brakes and drums for our buses. I have to have the parts at the shop and invoiced by the 15th due to our Fiscal Year End. Nobody has them and can’t get them to me before the 15th.

Well, if you get Covid, you gonna get heart inflammation, lung inflammation, gut inflammation, brain inflammation, I mean you get inflammation to some degree in EVERY case of most or all organs. As opposed to the vanishingly small number that MIGHT be secondary to having the vax, then again those patients may have had other predisposing factors so we don't have "proof" those cases are directly from the vax. Question: ya'll have had vaxxes since the 1950's right? You think vax science is not light years ahead now? These things are some of the safest medications you can take. Some of you anti-vaxxers have no problem taking your cholesterol pills, BP pills etc? Drugs that have MANY side effects including cognitive? Nah, give me the mRNA vax all day long...that little microchip don't bother me at all.

Well, here is an update. Pump is doing great. The first few days, the DEF consumption was ridiculously high. Then it settled down to normal. Not sure if this thing does some sort of calibration routine or what.

Now for the kicker. My MPG has increased substantially. And no, I don’t think it’s the new pump. However, on my biweekly trips to the coast, I usually average 22-23 Mpg running 55-65 mph on highway 341. Last weekend, my average (calculated) was 26.4 mpg. The DEF gauge barely moved. I was empty, except for chainsaws and other cutting gear going to St. Marys, GA to help with the tornado cleanup after Elsa passed. I’m leaving for another trip tomorrow. This is too strange.

Not that strange, with a proper working DEF/SCR system, the ecm doesn't have to rely on EGR as much for NOx reduction, less EGR means better fuel economy.
I have gotten almost as good fuel economy as your 26.4 before on one trip.

Alan Reagan, Did you have to do anything after you installed the new pump? Like prime the pump through the apfaobd? Or did it just start spitting def automatically? Thanks. Andy
