Twins Idea

New hoses from Mr. Bob

1. We run the Delo 400 in all our trucks (the testbeds for the turbos).

2. Similar, if not quieter, than our Jammer turbo. Louder than a stock turbo, but nothing like the newer Frod or Chevy turbos.

3. We've got that covered here at the shop, thanks. :)

4. While the turbo will give some power by reducing drive pressure, that's a high goal for a stock pump, even with 370's. It would be dirty, but you could probably get there with a set of our Stage 4's (40+hp over a 370) and the rest of your setup. My guess for your setup would be ~375hp with a stock turbo, 410-420 with a turbo. The 4's would put you over that edge.

CAT,

FWIW - I seen a 180 pump with bumped timing, 3k GSK, 191 DV's, #4, 370's, and an HX40/16 make 410 RWHP (obviously the intake and exhaust had been addressed too).

Mine had the above mods with the #4 in the stock location and a 4" Exhaust and it as at 385/830.

Will any of these new bb turbo be a replacement for a full B1. I'm kust about to get one and need a larger turbo that will flow alot of air

wow these smaller pumps (180 and down) on these trucks suck! And the cost of a modded on is $3200 which us unreal!!!! i talked with mark at peirs and he said that if i sent him the pump and it was in good condition for around $350 (if everything else in the pump was fine) he could make my pump good to about 500cc i believe. I think he said 500cc's so some of y'all may want to check into this if you can't afford $3200 for 700cc. send you pump to piers have him increase rack put a plate in it and change dv's and whatever else they can do. Is pulling the pump a pain the butt?

I know everyone's been eagerly awaiting ball bearing turbos. Can I be ignorant and ask what the advantages of them are?

Also Keith - what hp range is this new BB turbo designed to handle? Will it work with an aftermarket 4" exhaust like DPPI or others that many of us have?

TURBONETICS - "The NASA inspired angular contact, CERAMIC BALL-BEARING design (Patent pending) practically eliminates thrust bearing and operational surge failures. The CERAMIC BALL-BEARING system can safely handle 50 TIMES more thrust loading than conventional turbochargers, making it ideal for severe transients and extreme pressure ratio applications. "

Basically, they will spin up faster, which allows us to keep the spoolup of a Jammer sized turbo, but upgrade to bigger shafts/more aggressive compressor wheels/larger turbine housings to support bigger power.

It will be offered with a downpipe to connect to a given application, as do the current turbos we offer.

Nope, there's a big pile of them sitting here (over 150 turbos), but the downpipes aren't here yet. I don't think I can put pricing on here, but maybe I can say that the 94-02 trucks' version will cost $350 more than the Jammer, and the 3G kit will cost $400 more than the current kit.

A bit more turbo noise than stock to about 30psi, but not as loud as the Jammer (darn it). After 30psi, it has more of a air rushing sound rather than the high pitched turbo whistle.

Dang, if you got over 150, you wont miss just one for me to "test", will you?? I'll even pay for the downpipe! :-laf j/k.

when will you have pics up on the website?
