Chrysler has been Purchased

Replacement vinyl windows...

Filled up this morning for $2. 49 here in good 'ole Knoxville, TN. Exit 374 Pilot Travel Center on I-40 if anyone's coming through...

You can all thank me for diesel prices being down. I had not put any diesel in my truck since April 1st. I filled up yesterday for the first time since then.

Now, you can expect diesel to start going up too!

Thank you, where do we send the checks?

cheaper diesel

yesterday, filled up at Flying-J on I-5, $283. 9, cheapest I ve seen for a long time, reg. unleaded was $335. those prices wont hold for long, by summer end I believe we will see reg unleaded for over $4. 00, maybe equalled by diesel, the only thing that will bring the price down will be development of some alternative fuel thats cheaper, then the big oil moguls will get together and lower the price to drive out the competition, this wont happen until the oil ****** in DC are voted out Oo. Oo. #@$%!

(*Ho's?)

I was in Ohio yesterday and paid 2. 73 for diesel here in Pa 2. 99 and gas is cheaper here also. If gas or diesel goes to 4 bucks a gallon I am staying home and rideing my bike. If everyone would do that then maybe they would wake up a bit.
If we were to send all the Illeagels back to where they came from we would have enough Gas and Diesel. It will never happen, our politicians want the tax money and the votes.

:{ :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ Its easy to blame the oil company's and the politicians know it, after reading through all these posts it seems to be working. The capitalists way of doing business is why our country is so great and is the reason you have the freedom to drive your Diesel truck. You could live in USSR and drive a tiny POS gas powered 2 stroke and pay $3. 00 a liter (over 9 dollars a gallon) and can't get permission to drive it unless you belong to the communist party.

Don't get me wrong, I like lower prices too, but there are many reasons why we pay so much now, and the oil company's have a small percentage of blame. Dont you remember when gas was less than a dollar a gallon, no it was not 1950, it was 1991. What did you think of the oil company's then? What about the Green party disguised as democrats that wont let us build new refineries or drill off our coasts or drill in Alaska. We need to look at ourselves to blame, for we vote and last I checked the tree huggers have not been voted out yet.

BTW I pay $3. 10 for Diesel and $3. 45 for regular in the People's Republic of California

I hope people/voters will realize that it is the same people that want to cut off funding for our Troops that won't allow new refineries or drilling in ANWR (which would actually benefit the Moose). They are wrong in their ideas that they are forcing the industry to produce more efficient vehicles. It is not working, it is not happening. There is a little improvement but not enough to keep up with what the Illegal Immigrants are using. It is the same people causing the problem that don't want border control. The bums could be voted out but sadly people/voters will only know how to complain, believe their lies and vote them back in.

Diesel is still $2. 719 at Flying J in Albuquerque, but gasoline is $3. 029 to $3. 259 for regular. What's going on?

The more I think about it the more I know the Amish are smarter than we are. Couldn't blame them if they laugh at us. We are not satisfied with the horsepower in our trucks but the Amish are happy with one horsepower.

I have a lot of respect for the Amish and your right, one horse does all they want. They probably don't laugh at us, they just feel sorry for us because we are so gullible and greedy.

I agree, the average person is greedy and we are gullible. The greed of the oil companies testing us to see how gullible we can be to their tactics of charging as much as possible before we cut back on our usage. They probably see it as delicate balance. Raise the price right up to the threshold of where we will cut back on our driving. Since 9/11 I see driving as much better than flying. If they were really serious about conserving oil they would cut out all the nonsense at our airports and allow those of us who have Concealed Weapon Carry Permits to board. 40 of our states now have CCWP. If all 50 had it before 9/11 and citizens with CWCP were allowed to board 9/11 would never have happened. Pilots had to fight with the Bone-Heads to be allowed to carry. It is taking us too long to fix our problems thanks to the Bone-Heads. We have the technology to fix our oil problem but as long as greed stands in the way it is not going to happen.

I support your right to bear arms, but not on any plane I board! If you miss, the whole plane can come crashing down.

Today, I think the entire plane would attack hijackers armed with boxcutters, even if they said they had a bomb.

Grizzly's reasonable inquiry has morphed into something else entirely. Whatayasay the political discussion gets reopened under another post?

The simplest answer to the original inquiry is that the price of diesel is subject to supply and demand. Diesel and gasoline are really two separate markets and are therefore influenced by different factors. The Energy Information Administration has a website (google: eia). The history, back to 1994, of virtually every retail petroleum category can be found on this site. I actually ran across this site when I was trying to determine if I was getting jacked on my propane bill (in my apolitical view, I wasn't). As reliable as the sun rising and setting, the price of diesel goes up leading up to and during winter heating oil season, and down in spring/summer. Gasoline goes up in spring/summer. The year to year changes are also subject to supply (refined product availability) and demand. BTW, yesterday in Dixon California (I-80): Diesel 2. 86, Regular unleaded 3. 29.

Glass bullets are lethal but will not damage or punch holes in the aircraft. What terrorist is going to try to bring down a plane when he knows he can not succeed with armed passengers on board. Most situations are defused as soon as it is evident that they are out gunned. Most houses don't get robbed for fear the resident has a gun. I would trust the law abiding citizens who have taken the required class and fired at a range under supervision, to do the right thing. Your background is checked, your picture and fingerprints are on file. You are made fully aware of the responsibility that you take upon yourself when you choose to carry. States that now have the "Shall Issue" law have had a substantial drop in crime. Slowly but surely we are overcoming the needless hysteria about guns.

Filled my truck at Flying J for $2. 75 a few days ago. Average city mileage was 16. 2 mpg. Not too bad for a 7,800 pound, 4x4 dually.
