Car-Nut57 Why??????

Idle Diesel 5 minute max regulations (CA)

This will get me banned off of the Ford site, but I really don't care. I think I have around 17 posts there over the past 3 or 4 years. Talk about an insecure bunch there at the Diesel (Pansy) Stop. They remind me, not all, but some, of a bunch of stupid little school girls wooried about who is wearing what or talking to whom ever.

I drive a semi, I see 6. 0's broke down too often for comfort. I worked for Ford. I have long standing relations with "Glass House" employees, most forced into early retirement (Old White Guys). I, and they, have issues. I have owned a few Fords. Enough said.

The PM from our favorite censor Super Dooper I am on my 3rd buyback ran over my wife John:

Sir,

99% of your posts are abusive and antagonistic to Ford Truck owners. One of your posts even suggests you're here to dispel pro Ford rumors.

I consider your posts of the trolling nature and ask that you tone down the anti Ford rhetoric.

We won't accept a member constantly bashing Ford, especially since you don't even own a Ford truck.

I'm doing this in a PM so we don't include other members, if you chose to bring this up in the Forums and accuse me of "Blue Blood Ford" or "censuring you", I'll have no choice but to delete your posting privileges. Again, we're not going to allow personally soap box forum type posting.

Thanks,

Super Duty John

The Reply:

John,

I don't really quite know how to reply to this? I worked for Ford, they paid my bills till a few months ago. I would like to see Ford straighten up their act, as they do review this site. Aren't you on your 2nd or 3rd buy back right now?

I have made no personal attacks on any members that I can recall. I have many years of history with Ford, and I have owned ford trucks in the past, I just don't now. I did try to purchase a 6. 0, but all 3 that I test drove had trouble making it out of the dealers lot, Palmer Ford, in Chelsea MI. Hell the wife was getting ready to ring my neck if she heard one more thing about how great the new 6. 0 was going to be!

I am sorry that you are offended sir, I just don't know what else to say. I will try to be more civil, and pro Ford, but with my family history going back to Henry Sr. and Bennet, plus my years at Ford and working with many in upper Ford managment, it is difficult not to get to facts when challenged. Ford don't care! If you knew what went on in the engineering depts. in Dearborn, you would be driving another brand, trust me.

I'll try to clean it up and maybe lie a little so you all FEEL GOOD, as to not offend any of the many thin skinned persons who might own a Ford truck. Talk about an insecure bunch. You should let us slam Ford here, maybe you would get a reliable product.

And yes, I sound like an sarcastic ass, but how would you reply to a message such as this?

And no, I'm not going to cry aloud about this here. I know how sensitive Ford people are. I own an 03 Dodge 2500 CTD, 00 Toyota Tacoma, 04 Jeep Liberty Renegade and a 99 Monte Carlo LS. Why tell you what sits in my driveway, because there ain't no Ford. Hell, I should have gone postal by your standards by now, no?

Well, I almost did, but I got rid of the Fords! I did have to replace a battery and an axle seal in the Monte at 98,000 miles. That ALMOST sent me over the edge!

Call an good man a jerk and he could care less... call a jerk a jerk and he will get really defensive on you.

I guess the truth hurts. I have no problems with FoMoCo, but that's because I don't have one (I have owned two in the past). Funny thing is, all the Ford guys I work with bash my Dodge constantly. I let it roll off of my back, because I KNOW it is a solid vehicle. They cannot handle my replies to them, nor do they like seeing the pics that I bring back from my trips to Muncie and Quaker City Dragstrip. Again, the truth hurts.

You are right in your statement that a little bad publicity may wake up the decision makers at FoMoCo. As long as there is a loyal group to buy the product, you can't be suprised that they cut corners. Sounds like they should be raising some real issues about the problems. Another fellow at work (he is a very nice guy) has had his Powerstroke in for a new turbo and all 8 injectors and a transmission linkage. It has 13,000 miles on it. His wallpaper on his puter is his truck on a flatbed being hauled to the dealer. Yet the loyal ford contingent will tell me what a dog my goat is and how the interior and body are still crappy Dodge components. Oh yeah, one fog light fell out of my father-in-law's new Chevy a few weeks ago. I guess that is the quality I am missing.

Sorry, just had to get that off of my chest.

Mike, a pro-Ford rumor... e. g. (Ford has the Powerstroke figured out and it is a solid and reliable engine, now):D

I found out early on, site administrators and moderators are still human - and different boards do have different standards of expected behavior from posters. I have no particular problems with such standards, AS LONG AS they are reasonable, and equitably applied to ALL members. Virtually EVERY past problem *I* have had on boards - and yes, I HAVE had problems (who woulda guessed... ) - was when that fairness and equitable treatment was missing, at least in my opinion... ;)

I am grateful that there are Ford loyalists. The situation resulted in my dealer having several Ram Turbo Diesels on the lot for me to choose from. If all the Ford boys went to Dodge, we would be waiting for months for a new truck, and would have to take any color and list of options that finally showed up.

The other advantage to there being so many Ford owners is that the roads are far less crowded. Most of their 6. 0s are in the shop and the owners are walking.

"Most of their 6. 0s are in the shop and the owners are walking. "

Well, except for the ones still cluttering up the roadside - I hear the folks who pick up trash along roadways are now putting in requisitions for Ford-sized trashbags to accomodate the upsurge of abandoned trucks along the roads... Ever see a big bright DOT trashbag with a blue oval on it... :p

I owned Ford trucks for at least 30 years and was very happy with them, so much so that I kept my 75 4x4 that I bought new for 23 years and 235,000 miles. When it became time for a Diesel truck it wasnt going to a Powerstroke so Dodge got the money because they were smart enough to install a great engine. I was leery of the Dodge because the older ones were pretty junky but ran good. I have been very pleased with my Dodge, they have done a great job of building a quality truck. No regrets.

I saw a shiny new 6. 0 along the road today. It had the hood up and was overheating. The poor guy had friends with and was going to glamis. How embarrassing for him. :(

Same idiot that banned me... I assumed from having a negative affect on Ford stock/sales. Funny thing is it's usually a Ferd owner over there that starts the bashing ball rolling from calling you a troll or otherwise trying to dis-credit you in some way... Pretty insecure thin skinned bunch over there for sure... . We know we drive the best. I guess that why we are problem solvers and aren't insecure for a second... .

Jarsong,

I made a tounge in cheek comment about "my derge with the cum-a-part", and something else. Just a little humor and some facts. Ususal response from the bleeders, then I get message from superduty john. It sent me over the edge, it was a bad day. I post there so little this was kind of a shock, and PMO.

I normally paruse over there to get a good laugh, I'll never understand Ford people. 2-3 buybacks, and they keep doing it.

Here's an idea. I'm going to buy me some of those Blue Oval emblems and hang out at my local appliance store and collect empty refrigerator and washer and dryer boxes. I could make a fortune selling these "New Fords" to that bunch over there.

My washer and dryer boxes would be my economy models and my refrigerator models would be my heavy duty haulers, just leave a flap on the box and call it a tailgate. I might be on to something, anyone interested in a small investment to get this off the ground?
