I was just looking in Griot's Garage catalog about a diff, transmission, fluid extractor that they sell, has any one heard of this, if not would a fluid pump not work, and if not why, it would sure make it easier then pulling the cover I Don't remember any one ever mentioning this type of system,

thanks in advance. :)

I have a 12v version of those oil extractors, called the shurflo water wolf. You attach the clips to your battery and flip a switch. A bit easier than pumping by hand. In any case, yes they will work, but you'll likely miss the fluid that's in the smaller crevices, as well as missing the ability to wipe/clean out the pumpkin. There's no worry about taking the pumpkin off - the gasket is reusable and very nice from the factory. If you're all about convenience - I suggest you check out the pml covers - they have a drain and fill plug so you wouldn't have to remove the cover if you didn't want to.
