I had to prove that I could still drive a Class 8 truck when My Doctor reported (by law) that my amputation was a possible reason for my CDL to be taken away when my Med Card came due. I asked if my International (with automatic) would qualify for the exam? They said No it had to be a Class 8 of a certain weight, that the International didn't meet.
I thought you said you LOST YOUR LEG IN COMBAT? And I thought you said you drove class 8 for 27 years without that leg? You must have forgot what you have said or some people on this site got it wrong?
I will run this by your little mind again ATA ( I have an abbreviation that fits that but TDR wont let me, but it is funny)
OK here it goes ONE LAST TIME STUPID!! yes I did loose my leg in VN it was below the knee, I drove with a prosthetic limb on my left leg. (good so far?) Having a knee that I could move made that possible. A while back the knee needed to be replaced and it was thought that I could keep it like it was, the new knee wasn't going to happen because of the bone on the lower part of my leg (from the knee down) had splintered, It was talked about before the surgery that if it could be done they would, if the bone was to far gone then the amputation would be just above the knee. (still with me stupid?) Well when they took the leg ABOVE the knee, I didn't think that I could move my foot (the fake one, still with me?) to the clutch. This is true with the new prosthetic limb that I have it is to sensitive and unusable in this case. When I got the notice from the DMV I was kind of upset, not that I plan on driving for a livelihood any longer its just a matter of pride with me (something that im sure you have no idea of) I had been driving my Ford tractor using the clutch and using my Mechanical Prosthetic limb. I CAN move the foot (again the fake one) on to the clutch and by putting pressure on the limb with my upper leg it operates the clutch. As you may have read (if you can) I wouldn't want to get into a traffic jam ( More than 1 or 2 cars), but I can do it and proved to the DMV that I can. There is an adjustment on the limb to make the knee swing fast (AKA loose) or slow (AKA tight) If I tighten it that is how I can move the foot onto the clutch.
Just for your info I drove the very same truck that I tested in a few times with the new prosthetic limb. I cant depress the clutch but had my buddy stop his truck on a small hill (facing downhill) Released the brakes and rolled a little slipped it in gear and drove for at least 4 or 5 hundred miles. I sure hope that this help with your fascination with me and my life. It seems that for somebody that hates me like you do you sure keep up on my life.
So I hope that you and SOME PEOPLE on this site got it that time, Please tell Dresslerd and Flog the log to read this and keep up on my life so I dont have to keep repeating the same things over and over to you
