No problem unless we are pulling the boat. She seems to be trying to scrape it off the back of the truck with guardrails or anything else handy. The trailer has a width of 102" so one must drive down the center of the road.....

I dont care, but i wish she would go easy on her;) She loves to tell me how my "boost thingy" went to 45, and that other "gaugy thingy" went to like 1400 or something:eek: She asked me why do those red lights start flashing?? I just reset the peaks without looking, dont really want to know SPA rocks

No problem here!

Well Gents:

My wife can't drive a standard and doesn't want to learn. I wouldn't really mind, but I don'e push her either. Oo.

Not Me!!

Mine's been to racing school!! She can handle a car or pickup just fine, thank you! She is confident behind the wheel and isnt intimidated by the size... in fact, she loves the noise! She can pull a trailer OK, but prefers not to... just not enough seat time.

My wife does'nt ask very often, but some times she takes it to the store and back, I hear her pull in and leave the truck run for a minute or two, I ask her, do you know why I do that , she says to let something get down to 300 deg. he he he . what a gal eh?;)

I am with you. My wife is a good driver and all but I really do not like anyone driving my truck. It just dose not feel right.

I also feel uneasy when the wife wants to drive my truck or should I say our truck as she would refer to it. I'm just not keen on anyone but myself behind the wheel.

When we go together, I always drive even if it's my wife's vehicle. She likes it that way just fine. She can drive stick but does not like to. But what really intimidates her are the guages, the BD brake switch on the stick and the overall "harshness". Suits me.

She doesnt care too...

since she backed up into,no onto the nose of a Nissan sentra. The reciever hit about in the ceter of the hood:rolleyes: :-{} :-{} ... Big mess. Shes 5'2',couldnt see behind her through the mirrors. Nobody hurt, but most important,,,,,,The Ram didnt have a scratchOo. Oo. Oo.

Was that at the Sav-a-Center??? I did that :(

I let mine whenever she wants ... she raced a cop and won!!

... . but ... she knew him :--) Oo. Oo. Oo.

Life is good!!!!!:D :D

"Our" truck has 26,700 miles on it. I'd say she was behind the wheel for less than 500 of them. That's including a couple of long trips where I caught a nap. She was raised on a farm, so she can handle it, but I really do think "she's" more comfortable behind the wheel of our minivan. :p ;) And I wouldn't want to make "her" uncomfortable, so I don't encourage her to drive the truck. :-laf "I'm" perfectly comfortable with it. ;)

I still laugh when I think of the time our 9 year-old daughter ratted her out for not letting it idle before shutdown. :-laf Even she knows to wait for 300 deg. My wife knows it too, she just forgot the one time - gasser head. :D

I've been dying for this thread!!!!!!

You guys have it good and some of you don't even know it!!!!!

GRAB POPCORN and CRACK A COLD ONE and BRING a BACKUP!!!!!!!!

June 2001

My fiance and I were discussing my next vehicle. I was turning in my 98' Jeep Grand Cherokee (Loved it..... Fast/race car just couldn't carry anything in it ). I wanted a P/U... fine she says get a sharp lookin' one not a stripped down one. O. K... ... . I can do that..... I'm thinkin' to myself wow... ... . a body that just won't quit..... smart... ... kind..... generous and tells me to go all out on the ride... ... . Life is good!!!! "WE" go for a couple of test drives together... ..... Likes the same as me... ... Even the diesel..... HOLLY COW BATMAN!!!!!

Doesn't drive them though... . not interested at the time.

She has always driven smaller cars but she got frequent seat time in my Jeep. Has a problem with the right side of ANYTHING she's driving..... Curb hopping, wheel scuffs and Idiot marks on the mirrors ( garage ).

My thoughts went fast forward... ... . I ordered the DUALLY and said to myself she definately won't be drivin' this.

Now she doesn't like riding in the truck, Your'e not gonna take the truck are you?, it's too noisey, it's too high, sounds like a bus, HATES THE TRUCK... ... .

Soooo... ... I got rid of her... ... ... .

I'm gonna be washin' the truck tomorrow

Eric :--)

:D My wife loves the truck But has no interest in driving it she drove it maybe 15 miles and then pulled over and said here Its to much for me I guess the power scares her, size also. so I have no concerns of her taking the beast on a joy ride. . My daughter 14 is a diff case she WANTS my truck. says Its just the right size. Loves the noise and all. Go figureOo. Oo. Oo.

Not married, so I don't have that problem. :-laf BUT... . I taught my son (now 18yrs. old) to drive in it, and it's a 5 speed. Wish I had the $$$$ to get him his own. He's taking it to his senior prom this spring. I hope I get it back in one piece. :D The center console lid doesn't latch, due to pure laziness at trying to make it fit around the Geno's cupholder, so... . if "she " can't scoot over to the middle seat, maybe I have a better chance of getting it back without a scratch. Hey boy, where you at, we need to go practice a little more ... turn that box down to level 1 !

TST needs to market a fueling box with a parental control switch on it... . :D

wife drives truck

Lets just say I could not nap in the truck if my wife was driving it somewhere. She drives her car just fine and has not gotten into any accidents but I could not nap in her car with her driving, either. There is just something about it. However, she often sleeps when we drive places. She is perfectly at ease when I would not be.
