Thanks but i still don't see what the difference is but besides the 150 series is bigger but still has the same gphs. And how does the adjustable psi regulator work? Is this where the spring goes? thanks again

Can I install a newer pump in place of my first gen pump?

It died on me again last night, and took awhile to get going. I'm just replaced my VP44 and don't want to hurt this new one.

Forgive me, i don't understand the question... ... .

I have a FASS II that I got when they first came out, with the black plastic "screws" that hold the brushes in.

One of these screws are busted up, from a rock or other road debri.

My question is can I buy a new pump only, no wiring or anything, and replace my existing pump which is starting to give me trouble.

In other words, can I unbolt this pump, and bolt in the new one.

And is the pump available itself, no hardware or wiring?

QD-1001 should be easy to find at any parts store. I had to install a FASS before i worked here and the person I was doing the work for lost the QD-1001 fitting. BUT I found one at my local Auto Zone in Gainesville, Texas. AND if they had one…anyone will! Haha! The QD-1001 is reusable. But might attach the hose directly to the tank fitting and see if it helps the noise. If it does, just leave it and don’t worry about the QD-1001.

I found a spare (incase I screwed up the install) at my local parts house... IIRC, it is in the "help" section and it is a chrysler fule injection connection?? Cost about $8 a little over a year ago.

The only differances between the two kits are:

95 series is 25% Smaller than the 150 Series. The smaller units tend to fit better in tight places.

The filters are proprietary for the 95 Series so you have to buy filters through a FASS dealer. At the moment, all we have is 10um fuel filters for this unit. The FASS 150 series units, the filters can be crossed to pretty much any aftermarket filter maker.

The 95 series units are about $30. 00 less than the 150 series units.

Other than that, they are the same.

The PSI regulator is the fitting that holds the spring and check ball. Removed that fitting to change out the spring to adjust the pressure.

Dan, Does the Fass filter fuel before it enters pump? Or do I need some other inline filter before the Fass?

how many different psi springs do you all offer? What the point of having a 45 psi spring with the 95gph models? thanks again

The FASS runs the fuel through the 140um Water Sep before it hits the pump gears. We find this is enough to knock down the large Debris and not cause restriction on the pump itself.

The HPFP come with an inline filter to install.

I want to make sure the pump is ok when I do a Draw Straw without any filtering before it hits the Fass.

It will scare you the crap you'll catch/drain from the water separator of the FASS... if you search my name and sand, you'll see a photo of a jar of diesel and the sand it contained that was drained from my FASS. I have did this more than a few times...
