Like input shaft change every 12 months. I forgot, and this made month 13 and it popped last Wednesday at Ohio Valley Dragway. I got the it pulled out last night. The shaft busted real nice and clean. It has lines radiating out from a spot 1/3rd from the center. It should be back together for the Black Mountain Diesel dyno day/sled pull next weekend. And defiantly at the Saint Louis race.
 
You haven't moved up to the the bigger input shaft yet? Sounds like you would be a perfect case for one, maybe you could put off maintenance of that kind for say, a couple of years instead. :)

I want a bigger input shaft. I am taking donations. PM me for address. Or if anybody has a good NV 5600 or a Fuller FSO 8406 or compairable transmission cheep. ;)
 
Everyone knows you shift really fast & good, Wayne, :D BUT you ought to let us put a DTT in that truck of yours. It'll last a lot longer. :D Yeah, yeah I know. Never happen, you're really dead set on stirring the gears yourself... .
 
The closest thing I would run next to a auto is a Lenco drive. Unless there was some compelling reason to switch.

I would rather put in a med duty manual with a 1 3/4 or 2" input shaft and a air shifter.
 
An air shifter? :D :D :D Love them on the drag bikes... :D

Boo-coo bux any way ya look at it, in a transmission conversion. (yeah, yeah I know it's spelled "beaucoup" but boo-coo is funnier) Lot's of fun to try something different and better...
 
Well, I do have a eaton RT 12510 laying in the barn. Thats good for 1200 lbs of torque. But no overdrive. Maybe 6" of bodylift and the frame widened a little.
