Is it normal for everyone with a dpf delete to to have there truck smoke with light throtle. It only does it if I don't floor it offten. after it starts smoking i floor it once or twice and it goes away for about 100 miles maybe less depending what im driving city or highway. this truck also leaves alot of black on my bumper now. seems to be worse then my 04. thanks kenny

There is a senor before and after the DPF that tell the ECM when to go into the regen cycle... . Could your ECM be miss reading these sensors since they are not connected and turn on the regen cycle and add additional fuel to the system...

I've not done the delete to my 08 but my stock 04, 04. 5 and 05 do not smoke under any conditions...

Just a thought...

I believe you have to do the EGR delete after the DPF delete for it not to smoke. I have heard of people having a lot of smoke by just doing the DPF delete. Try the EGR delete as well and see if you find any difference.

Don't think its going into regen Have had it on for 5,000 miles. Ill have to look into the egr delete. Is smarty ever coming out with a programmer soon.
