Hope someone has some experience with Dr Performance Injectors... . My dealer up here in Ukiah is recommending stage II's (65to150hp)... for my truck... . he said he toured their shop in Tx and was most impressed with the product and uses them in his powerstroke... . (I am trying really hard not to be disrepectful to blue awful... i mean oval... people) Any input would be appreciated... . Paul

I have no personal experience with DrP, but the franchise is pretty much the laughinstock of this site. Very secretive, and many have reported the only change being a lightening of the wallet. I did pull away from a DrP 1st gen on the interstate several years ago- both of us pulling loadedtrailers, mine wasnt quite as big, but I had stock injectors, 12cm housing, and some pump tuning on a 93. His had DrPerformance plastered on the side of the truck and all... ... Kinda like Banks trucks, only bigger. :-laf

I bought a truck that was supposed to have had Dr. P work done on it.

Now that I've been through most of the systems, I can say that--for a fact-- the boy that paid Dr. P got screwed. Specifically speaking, the governor springs were not upgraded and the plate was not upgraded and the turbo was very marginally upgraded. Other add-ons were a twin ram and a short shifter. They haven't given any trouble  Also the injectors were shot, but that might have been the fault of todays wonderfuel--or I wouldn't doubt that they were used to begin with.

We've got too many vendors with stellar reputations to waste any time at ALL dealing with those who don't.

My brother's father-in-law has a '98 12-valve which he had the Dr. P shop in Kellogg ID upgrade. He had problems afterwards with leaking injectors, poor mileage and smoked like a coal train. He took it back a couple times and they weren't at all helpful or willing to resolve the problems. He lived with it for about 30k miles and finally took his truck to a shop in Tacoma and they swapped injectors, changed the cam plate and put on a 14cm housing. Smoke went way down, power increased considerably and so did mileage. He's a happy gramps now.

Well, making a lot of assumptions on my part, I've had the stage II for 120K and , KOW, have had 0 probs with it. Mileage is 20-23 mt and 11-14 loaded with 12k(+-).

If all was done as claimed with new parts etc.
