Well, I just mailed in my complain to the Washington State Attorney General Office. Included a printout of the warranty booket (thanks Thomas), and all the emails and letters that have gone back and forth. Glad DC retain part ownership, it will make it harder for them to run from this issue.

Also called and left a message for the General Manager of the local dealership that first refused warranty, as they are listed as a secondary business on the complain forms.

When I told a paralegal friend what the warranty booket says, she said they do not have a leg to stand on.

Well, I received a letter back for the Washington State Attorney General office. They have assigned a Complaint Analyst who says that he will be contacting Daimler Chrysler regarding my complaint. Wonder if they will stonewall him regarding the start date of the Cummins Engine Warranty? Stay tuned. If I get real quiet about the issue in 3 or 4 weeks, then you will know that they bought me off with a reinburstment for the new VP44. SNOKING

Back to mileage with the new pump. Yesterday I drove 238 miles on 12. 022 for an average of 19. 795 mpg. Towing a friends 11 Whaler dinghy on my little boat trailer one way and coming back with just the trailer the other. Speed varied between a traffic jam in downtown Seattle to 70 MPH. NOT BAD!

Still waiting to hear from Wa AG and DC on warranty complaint. SNOKING

My truck was stumbling badly under acceleration today. I checked for codes when I got home and got PECU, P1693, and P0216. My truck is a 2002 and came with the 7/70 warranty. Anyone know if the 7/70 warranty will cover the pump replacement? Has anyone tried? Thanks!
