That EBay listing didn’t list what years the cap was applicable to. I wouldn’t use it on the new ribbed filler tube as I’d be concerned that those ribs would eventually rip/tear that foam causing bits of that stuff to fall down into the tube. That cap might be alright for the earlier smooth bore filer tubes but I’d still be watching for deterioration of that foam.

That is Mopar's cap for 2019's.

I know this has been beaten to bits, but they changed the neck so the caps from Geno’s won’t work. This is my temporary fix. A 2” ABS cap covers it so at least if DEF is spilled, it won’t go into fuel tank. I’ll be calling Geno,s but there are ribs now in the neck, so it won’t seal. If you look closely at the neck in the background you’ll see the blue cap not sealing from the rib, there are three ribs to prevent o ring from sealing. View attachment 115234View attachment 115235

I installed an abs plumbing cap on my 2013 when it was new, see Issue 83, p. 79.
We think alike ☺️

BTW, I believe that foam use on this new cap is called:
Polyethylene Foam

I carried misc pieces of it on the boat for emergencies. It can be craved with a knife and driven into to a haul hole, crack, or fitting with a hammer.

SURPRISE SURPRISE, two surprises today. 1st surprise, the cap came in the mail today. 2nd surprise the Polyethylene foam is for shipping, to prevent the cap supporting cross section from breaking. Geno’s told me on the phone, they wouldn’t start shipping until mid October. I took some pictures for the curious.

I'm still thinking of using the 2" ABS cap when filling it with DEF fluid. The Mopar cap fits tight but I don't think it seals, as well as just covering the lip. The ABS cap covers the fill neck completely, and will easily shed away the spilt DEF fluid.

Haven't spilt DEF since the first time dealing with that crapy little funnel in the 2014 I drove. However it was on a service bed, so it was located in a diferent area than the the regular beds. I'M NOT GOING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS, THATS FOR SURE. Does that help you Cummins12V98. I only use Peak Blue DEF with the awesome hose that helps air to smoothly replace the fluid as a vacuum starts to form.

Ha Ha, packing matteral is actually packing, who woud have guessed? Works just like the black model for the earlier years.

That little white funnel under the passenger's seat is for the diesel fill to open the two flaps when using a can/jug to add fuel!!!!!

I use the Motorcraft(gasp!) DEF Nozzle and it works beautifully! Drains way quicker than normal DEF nozzle included with containers and absolutely no spillage.

For the first two years I was tipping the Peak Blue DEF boxes the wrong side up! Once I figured out the nozzle is on the high side of the box as you start filling the DEF tank I have not spilled a drop. That puts the black duck bill on the top of the nozzle verses the bottom! I will take a picture the next time I put Peak Blue DEF in.
