If I was marketing a product nationwide, I sure as hell wouldn't be interested in building a nationwide network of certified installers so that another company could make money recommending the same guys. There is no way I would let them install my competitors product. You had better feel as strongly about the products as I do if I am going to let you be my representative to the potential customers in the area. If someone is set on my competitors product he can look elsewhere.
In my area there is a Ford, Chevy/GMC, and a Dodge dealership. The Dodge dealership has the best service, but I don't go knocking on their door if I want to buy a Ford.
