Does anyone know if I was to buy a DTT T/C and V/B now if they would put that towards the whole trans if I was to do it later on in the future?

maybe but the problem is you need alot of fluid pressure to lock up one of those TCs thats is why you get a VB along with it. however installing a VB like that in a transmission with stock internals would cause you to start blowing seals in the transmission due to the excessive fluid pressure. So by fixing one problem you would be causing another and thats is why i dont think a DTT installer would do that.

maybe im not sure about that, but there is so much that goes in these transmissions that you dont see or read about. i have had the privelage of watching chris strickland from relentless diesel actually put part of one of these trannys together theres alot to it for example the billet acumulator that goes in place of the crappy plastic one manuafactured to extremely tight tolerences to reduce drainback also the 4. 4 ratio lever and then there are larger clutches and 5 instead of 4. just go here and read up on it and you will see what all one of these trannys have that make them so superior to the stock unit

Like Bob said, give them a call. I've talked to Bill K. on two different occasions about issues I was having with my transmission. He's a very straight shooter and down to earth. And he doesn't mind taking the time on the phone to explain things to you.

Yeah Bill K. rocks. A true honest no B. S. gentleman. I purchased a T/C and Valve Body from them. After I had it installed, he called me out of the blue to see if I was satisfied with my purchase, and if everything went well with the installation. I was blown away. Definitely a straight up all around nice guy. Regards Bill. -Glen

Hey Glen have you dynoed your truck? That is that same thing I want to do to mine after I get the T/C and V/B. Hot hot are your EGTs and how bad is the smoke? How many miles did you have on your trans when you got the t/c and v/b and did you get the update kit?
