2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dually conversion

Has anyone heard of a conversion from Dually to single wheels?

3500 becomes a 2500. Is it doable. I suppose the Ideal would be to go back and forth. I would want to convert the side fenders as

well. Sounds kind of crazy and probably to much money.

I was curious if its been done before

There was just a guy on this board wanting to go the other way. Getting the two of you together would make the most sence. I can't quit imagine why you would want to give up your training wheels however.
