Here I am

Duramax Crankshaft Failures??

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Like to post a photo of a blown up IH diesel

I've got more important things to worry about than if a Duramax throws a rod or breaks a crankshaft. If they do, then "oh well":)

the product by which others are judged

i was just reading all the posts at about 3am and enjoying all the comments. not figuring i was going to respond since others has well stated my views about this being primarily a website for those who likes the cummins motors and if one can't handle that level of committment, well tough !!!!!!! then it happened: someone linked the cummins motor with those motorcycles called honda's. oh my gosh: for tons of years i have been riding the wrong bike. honda has produced those terrible 45 degree v twins since 1903!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! surely the late newcomer in the motorcycle market , hardly ablesons, has copied the v twin concept ! here all this time i have been brand loyal to the wrong bike !!! forgive my stupidity but i never realized it was the honda motorcycle that all other copies were compared to !!!!!!!! and for the record i wonder how many continous years honda has been manufactured ????????????????????? boy do i love committment to a product!!!!!!! cummins and harley davidson what a combination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I realize those wonderful hondas never fail so if you own another truck so what> however, for me, at least the cummins will haul that harley home !!!!!!!!! freedom of choice is wonderful!!!!!! bruce

Hang in here Mac and don't go away. It pleases me to death that there are choices to be made when chosing a truck. Its a shame that when somebody makes a choice, they think everybody else should decide the same way. My Dodge is a 94 and I love it. Wouldn't trade it for anything and that includes a new Dodge. But thats my choice and whats right for me.

I knew that Honda thing would get you Harley guys going:p

Anyway, have you heard the rumor that cummins and Honda are working on the HCC2... A new diesel powered bike... . seems they did not want Isuzu:-{} ... . Ok I'll stop now:p Oo. :--)

Are we having fun yet?

amcyntire If that’s your real name.

You just can’t leave us can you? You’ve told us goodbye a couple of times and you always come back to tell us about your shiny black truck. Admit it, you like the abuse, why else would you spend $ 35. 00 for information you can read for free. I remember your initial post about the great race between your Duramax and a Dodge/ Cummins. I would have spent the $ 35. 00 dollars on a good micro brew and a couple of cigars and celebrated my victory (if it really was) over that little inline 6 with a fellow Duramax Owner. I realize that some members of this forum get a little overzealous at times, what did you expect? This is after all the The Number One Resource For Dodge/Cummins Turbo Diesel Owners. I like the Chevy with the Duramax . I liked my Ford with the 460. Actually I like almost any truck. Like all of the members of TDR we really like our Dodge/Cummins that’s why were here. Get used to it and lighten up. Have a Dodge/Cummins Day. Jeff

:D :D

I new you would be back

Amcyntyre I new it. You can’t stay away, you love us. Glad to see you have a sense of humor, you won’t survive around her if you don’t. The Diesel Page guys are just not as much fun as the TDR folks.

I don’t think we would make fun of you if you changed your name to D-MAXIPAD GUY. Jeff

:D :D

Hey Rcpilotlv....

. . go easy on the Isuzu..... after all, that was my training wheels for my Cummings. You guys can rib the Powerstrokes and Duramaxs all you want, and it's funny. But when you start picking on the little guys that are LITER-ally less than half your size... hey, that's hitting below the dipstick!:{

Devil made me do it

I said I was not going to do it, but the devil is making me do it.

Some of us Dodge boys are treating amcintyre as though he is a stepbrother:rolleyes: . Read his signature, he uses Amsoil:eek: . So by default, he must be no less than a half brother to some of us;) . Now that should start some…:-{} .

Welcome amcintyre, may the diesel force be with you.

Wow, why are you dogging corvairs? I loved my Corvair Monza Spider that I bought from my brother for $25 of hard earned grass mowing money when I was about 14 years old and yes it was turbocharged from the factory with tach & 4-speed. I also love my 83 Ford F-350 W/6. 9 International diesel that hauled around my welding machine for years of solid & reliable service (now semi retired @ my Dad's house). And I love my 1990 W-350, Cummins even though it's on its 3rd transmittion, the speedometer almost never works, rear end seals leak regurly, transfer case lever buzzes non stop, ect, ect, also own a Chevy IROC Z-28, International Scout & Harley-Davidson 80" shovelhead and a little red wagon (the kind you pull by hand) for my new 5 month old baby girl, plus a 1970's Yamaha flat tracker & a 1951 Chevy pickup and I've probably forgot something, several bicycles, a skateboard(my sons), 76 Chevy van w/over 350,000 miles,3 early Chrysler Hemi's (all 392's), 2 Lincoln welding machines one diesel one gas, If you drive it and you like it I'm tickled to death, I like my old stuff. keep your sense of humor intact or all is lost, and yes I know I dont spell good. When your biggest problem in life is that somebody does'nt like your truck then you are a fortunate man(or woman), many people suffer greatly in this world... all in good fun... I've sure got my $35 worth... JTMcC.
