Getting ready to re-pack the bearings in the Dyna-Trac hubs on my truck. Are the Hub seals(large) the only ones I will have to replace?

If my memory serves me correct the only seal that wears is the large one inspect it and the sealing surface the shaft. Chances are the seals will be in ok condition and don't need replacement. but if you've got it apart why not replace. There is a smaller seal on the stub shaft along with a dust seal but unless you've done a lot of running through deep water or running in 4 wheel the seal really doesn't get much wear.

You shouldn't have to replace the main bearing seals if you very carefully push them out with the bearing. You may want to get a couple of the snap rings that go on the outside end of the stub shaft. When I did mine after about 50K miles, I could have left the inner bearings alone, the outer bearing was the one that could have used more grease.

You will want to replace the small o-rings on the screws holding the cap on, where you turn the lock/unlock knob. David
